I'm just glad I don't live in a dictatorship but a free democracy where every few years I can vote for a different banker or lawyer or landlord that represents the vast network of powerful corporate interests that controls every aspect of my life from cradle to grave

NEW: Canadian government officials sought approval from their American counterparts before releasing parts of a damning report about how the CIA resettled alleged Nazi war criminals in Canada, documents show. The Americans seemingly did not approve, and Canada subsequently gave the U.S. a heads up when the Federal Court ordered that some previously secret parts of the report be released anyway. readthemaple.com/canada-soug…

"any party that promises..." Has there been a party that promised to increase welfare in the last few decades These lolibertarians create hypothetical arguments about situations that simply don't exist; to convince you to hate poor people like they do
If you receive welfare, you shouldn’t get to vote because you'd be a single-issue voter on maintaining and increasing your welfare, plus voting for any party that promises to do this.

Western society is a death cult
The latest from family member trying to get me to unmask is: “But if we’re all going to die from Covid, why would you want to be the only one alive?!”

Marxists seem to be the only group fighting against all the eugenics happening recently Marxism isn't just theory of labour: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" The video is on this topic youtu.be/Eb5xz2gBIoA
People talk about Marxism like it’s the final boss of historical literacy when disability justice exposes its limits almost instantly. Any theory of liberation that still organizes human worth around labor and productive capacity has not actually escaped the logic it claims to oppose.

Imagine claiming to be critical of the CIA, and than tweeting decades old CIA propaganda
The Soviets believed all art is political, and produced seven decades of shitty art

Making a new COVID research thread bc this website is trash. Part 2 of a working thread of published research on COVID 19. Every claim links to a real study. Published, peer-reviewed research from journals like Nature, The Lancet, BMJ, and Nature Medicine. Not speculation.

When I was the supervisor on the afternoon (most important) shift for a shipping company, I would often sit in on interviews for new hires Coming to the interview with a coffee was totally normal and happened all the time, no one cared
Re: jobs: Life experience here. A job that hired you that didn’t care about how you presented yourself, were sipping on a drink and checking your phone during the interview is likely to be a FAR more toxic place to work than one where you had to follow social norms for 20 minutes

I’m genuinely curious: What other subjects have become so saturated with misinformation, contradictory messaging, institutional reversals, half-truths and people confidently talking out of their asses that society eventually just…gave up trying to understand them? Not because nothing is known. Because the information environment became so polluted that “who the hell knows anymore?” became the default response. Nutrition seems like one. Climate change, maybe, for some people. But SARS-CoV-2 may be one of the strangest examples I’ve ever watched unfold in real time. We somehow went from an enormous global scientific effort producing an extraordinary amount of knowledge to a large fraction of society concluding that it’s gone, it’s mild, I’m immune, we have to live with it, and nobody really knows anything about it. That is a fascinating…and terrifying….epistemic failure.

“This error of assuming that Covid couldn’t be airborne was based on the idea that aerosols just fall to the ground within 3 feet. And that’s not a new piece of information" "It was highlighted in the report of the SARS Commission in 2006 as illogical..” ctvnews.ca/calgary/article/o…
