Copper prices have more than doubled since 2020, and it's no wonder—this metal is right at the heart of the global energy transition. But here's the catch: mine supply just isn’t keeping up. In China, smelters and refiners are feeling the squeeze from tight concentrate availability, and that could send more buyers hunting for refined copper on the global stage. Curious what this means for the broader resource sector?

The media melts down when someone questions the Fed’s “independence.” But maybe it’s time we ask: Who actually benefits from it? The Fed is not accountable to voters. And it’s definitely not an arm of free-market capitalism. It’s a tool of Wall Street traders and the big banks. While the U.S. economy flatlined… • The Fed balance sheet soared • Debt exploded • Top 1% wealth ballooned • Manufacturing stagnated This isn’t independence—it’s capture. The Fed exists to serve the elites. It’s time to stop defending a failed institution and start asking cui bono—who benefits? Not you. internationalman.com/article…

The story of the week was the re-emergence of inflation. The question now is whether this was a one-off print or the early signs of a genuine resurgence in prices. I’ll leave you with one chart: ISM Services PMI Prices vs. Core CPI. Historically, the former leads the latter by roughly 12 months. If that pattern holds, I would make two observations: ▪️Near term: The Fed may have grounds to keep rates steady, despite markets pricing in a 90%+ probability of cuts. My view — markets won’t like that. ▪️Long term: Once Trump secures a majority of Fed governors aligned with him, rate cuts could come regardless of inflation’s trajectory. Let that sink in. If my second observation is proven right, none of us own enough hard assets.

🚨 The U.S. Treasury is set to borrow $1.007 trillion in Q3 2025 and another $590 billion in Q4. That’s nearly $1.6 trillion in just 6 months and it’s not even for new stimulus. It’s to refill the government’s bank account. (Save this thread)

83% of S&P 500 companies beat Q2 earnings. That’s news. But after tariff turmoil, markets barely blinked. Now the Fed meets. Most expect no move. One economist says the unthinkable: raise rates. Sacrilege. #Fed #inflation #SP500 Meanwhile, Trump offers Powell a kindness...
BREAKING: President Trump comments on Fed Chair Powell: "He's leaving very soon, I'll miss him," Trump says.

It is my belief that the U.S. faces an imminent debt crisis. But that doesn’t mean bad outcomes are guaranteed. If our current circumstances are managed in the best ways, the outcomes will be much better than if they are managed in the worst ways. In fact, there is a 3% solution to dealing with the U.S. government debt problem that would lead to much better results than the path that we appear to be on. If you’re interested in learning more about the steps we can take to solve these issues read the full interview with @andrewrsorkin of the @nytimes. I hope you will read my new book, How Countries Go Broke: The Big Debt Cycle (available at all booksellers) and let me know your thoughts. #raydalio #principles #economics #debt

The labor market continues to weaken: Job postings on Indeed fell -8% YoY in the week ending July 11th, reaching the lowest level since February 2021. Postings are now down -65% from their March 2022 peak. As a result, available vacancies in the US are just 4% above pre-pandemic levels. This data does not exclude “ghost postings” for positions that may not exist or are not actively being filled. This also suggests that official BLS job openings data will likely continue to trend lower. Labor market demand softening cannot be ignored.

The Fed’s back to buying bonds. But now they call it SOMA — yes, like the drug from Brave New World. Print money, dull the masses, pretend it’s policy. Policy or narrative control... #FederalReserve #macroeconomics #inflation

🪙The bond market’s breaking, gold and bitcoin are surging, and stocks are the last to get the memo. This is Trump’s Truman moment — short-term pain, long-term reset. Gold up 25%, bitcoin 30% in a month. Stocks? Next to wobble. History doesn’t repeat, but this one sure rhymes.

One of my favorite Silver Coins, by the Czech Mint, The Czech Lion: "The Czech Mint introduced its first series of bullion coins in 2017 with the release of the Czech Lion silver bullion. This series quickly gained popularity due to its patriotic relief and limited mintages."
