WE ARE FURIOUS. 😡😡😡 We are sickened and heartbroken by footage showing a tiny, defenceless piglet being deliberately beaten yesterday morning, believed to be in the Ballinasloe, Co. Galway area, but not sure. Do you recognise the area??? What kind of person deliberately hurts an innocent animal that cannot defend itself? There is nothing funny about cruelty, nothing brave about causing pain, and absolutely nothing acceptable about this behaviour.😡😡😡 That little piglet deserves compassion and protection, not fear, pain and suffering. Animals feel. Animals hurt. Their lives matter, and this kind of cruelty must NEVER be tolerated. DID YOU WITNESS ANYTHING? DO YOU KNOW WHO WAS INVOLVED OR HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT? 💔💔SEVEN DOGS RESCUED YESTERDAY, PUPPY FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE 💔💔💔💔 From early yesterday morning until almost midnight, our MLHR Animal Welfare teams were out on the road responding to animals in desperate need.💔💔💔 Three teams, 3 directions, a horse in Meath, a poor goat in Drimnagh, seven dogs rescued in Kilkenny 💔💔💔 Huge thank you to An Garda Síochána Kilkenny for their help. Once again, they were there when these animals needed someone to stand up for them and make sure they got to safety. ❤️ But one rescue has broken our hearts.💔💔 A tiny puppy, just five or six weeks old, was found locked inside a box and left in a forest. Two other dogs had been tied to trees in the forest.💔😡 The tiny puppy (Baby Cameron) is now fighting for his life at the vets. He has spent the day on a drip and will need to go back on the drip tomorrow. He is so young, so fragile, and so incredibly unwell.💔💔😡😡 And yet, despite everything that was done to him, he is still fighting. ❤️ We are heartbroken and angry.💔💔😡😡 The level of cruelty we are seeing is simply beyond comprehension.💔😡 When will it stop? When will our Government listen to the people and organisations on the ground who are dealing with this cruelty every single day? And most importantly, when will people be held accountable? Prosecutions matter. Accountability matters. These animals deserve justice. But while we fight for change, we still have animals to save today. And we cannot do that without you.
