This part of my life... this little part... is called happiness 🥲
The New York Knicks. NBA Champions.
ICYMI...
The moment @JCMacriNBA & @AndrewJClaudio_ witnessed the Knicks win their first championship in 53 years.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but the Knicks are currently 3% through their season. That’s the equivalent of being at halftime of week 1 of an NFL season.
Imagine being this “alarmed” about the reigning Super Bowl Champions after 2 quarters?
Gonna really break it all down tomorrow, 1. Because I’m trying to stay relaxed, and 2. Because it’s only 3 games in.
But this Knicks team has looked alarming since Ring Night. And to take it a step further, all preseason minus the last two, they looked alarming too.
This isn’t new territory the Knicks are getting into this season. It’s the territory they’ve been establishing for weeks now.
They need to get out of it. Quickly.
Not telling anyone how to feel but my concern level went from “unbothered” to as high as “bothered” tonight. This team, this core & this captain have won entirely too many big games & dug themselves out of significantly bigger holes for us not to be patient after a slow, albeit horrendous start.
They will figure this out. That’s what champions do.

The Knicks started strong but fizzled in the 4th. More sloppy turnovers, outscored 40-27 in the final frame, and look like they have an early backup center problem. Franz Wagner dropped 21 4th quarter points to help his team avoid the Knicks current fate: an 0-3 start.
Prayers up to Jalen Suggs who suffered a knee injury late in the 4th.
It doesn’t get easier, champs! The East is hungry and early on, you look like food.

Winning a title means you never have to sweat an October loss for the rest of your days. Take advantage of this liberating blessing!
John Smoltz just said Trevor Megill used to be a starter for the Mets... in the World Series... after calling years of Brewers playoff games... that just happened.
