AMERICAN WORKERS NOW GET THE SMALLEST SHARE OF WHAT THEY PRODUCE ON RECORD
The BLS labor share index hit 93.4 in Q2 2026.
It started at 116.0 in 1947. Now, the lowest ever.
It has fallen five quarters in a row.
Output keeps climbing. The workers' slice keeps shrinking.

I think the fact that Marissa Mayer would voluntarily disclose this to a reporter is a pretty good demonstration of how deeply the culture of Silicon Valley has diverged from the rest of humanity
Everyone rightfully mocking Marissa Meyer's inability to say nice things abt her kid w/out help from a chatbot. But it's also revealing that AI oligarchs are mostly using the tech to buy stuff. We are ruled by ghouls who think buying a present for someone u love is a "hassle."

Widespread voter suppression is reportedly being carried out by local government officials aligned with Flávio Bolsonaro. They're breaking the law by keeping public buses in the garages to prevent poor and working classes Brazilians from voting. This is very serious.

BREAKING 🇧🇷 The voter suppression is Brazil is no joke!!!! This is an active, criminal conspiracy to keep poor, marginalized citizens out of polling stations across the country.
Brazil: The Regional Electoral Court of Bahia has issued an arrest warrant for Pablo Souza (Ind.), head of the Municipal Secretariat of Mobility in Salvador, following the limitation of bus service in the city during today’s elections.

Even the FT admits Macron achieved virtually nothing in his 10 years as president, except increasing the retirement age - which of course from French people's standpoint is a negative.
I've been in France since 2002 and have never seen the streets so violent nor the politics so extreme. From the sacking of the supermarket on my street to the prospect of Présidente Le Pen, here's me @FT including thoughts from 2 French Nobel laureates as.ft.com/r/addcad57-0f9d-4e…

Lady with a straight face says that she wants to make capitalism work "without the exploitation of people" ???
I get that words don't mean anything anymore but come on lol
Is L.A. mayoral candidate Nithya Raman a capitalist?
"I'm a capitalist and I'm also a Democratic Socialist...we need to make sure capitalism works without harm to workers... to poor people."
She says the DSA is a "big tent" but she disagrees with members who call to abolish police, prisons and the Senate.
