Scientists are decoding clouds from space, improving weather and climate predictions using NCAS’s research aircraft and the EarthCARE satellite. The VERIFY project will calibrate the satellite, which is looking at how clouds, aerosols and solar radiation interact to affect the Earth’s atmosphere.

When we talk about climate, weather and air, we make climate science more accessible, and inspire future scientists. While participating in New Scientist Live in London and Explore Our Planet in Cardiff, we took a creative approach to explain air pollution and climate change, which sparked curiosity and made these complex issues more accessible.
