Today's matchup is a $284 million ace against a former soccer player who gave up baseball twice, had the sport discontinued at one of his four college stops, signed with the Astros for $1,000 and is now on the 40-man. On Shawn Dubin from a few years ago - houstonchronicle.com/texas-s…

Mike McDaniel said it's good Tua "doesn't have anything more serious than a #concussion."
I don't think this guy gets it. A concussion is a traumatic brain injury & posturing suggests brain stem injury. It's pretty high on the list of serious medical consequences of football.

This thread will be dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting in Buffalo.
This is Ruth Whitfield, 86. Her son, the former Buffalo Fire Commissioner, said she was on her way from visiting her husband in a nursing home and stopped at the store to get something to eat.
Feel like I share this every time I see it. Playing for this man changed me and countless others for the better.
Most players & parents dont know this but in reality winning is not the ultimate goal. Yes we play to win, but as coach Matt Deggs says here...
"it's about love, it's about building men, it's about building relationships that will last forever."

My guy 📈 glad everything went well. I’m excited for you to get back to what you love! Especially with a Patriots L on deck for tomorrow #BillsMafia
Thankful for the doctors and nurses at @ChildrensNatl for another successful surgery and hopefully the last one. Especially a huge thanks to my neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Keating and plastic surgeon Dr. Boyajian (Both patriots fans)

Stealing a page out of @CoachDeggs28, @LanceHarvell and @ShaneWedd play book. Hardest test I have ever taken. 😂 #Pack4Life
When you play at Mississippi State, you gotta prep a bit differently. teapawt.net/UnnecRoughness/status/…
All this dude knows how to do is work, compete, and love his teammates. That's a dangerous combo. Proud to have shared the grind with you brother 🐺 @BackhusKyle

One of the fundamental flaws of American society is it assumes the main and most important driver for everyone is money.
Decades of psychological research shows that isn’t the case.
It plays a role, particularly for those in need, but it is not the sole motivator.
Can't say enough good things about R2P! Love the passion and vision for PT that @drjoshfunk and co have.
"For both patients & student interns, R2P has a reputation of doing everything in their power to prepare all that walk through their doors for high levels of performance. I am excited to embrace & contribute to that culture in any way possible."

PT payment in Western NY is already among the lowest in the country. A 9% overall cut combined with the impending 15% reduction for PTA services will be devastating!!

Our profession is facing Medicare payment cuts, and we need you and your patients and clients to take action to ensure Congress steps in.
