🇵🇱 Time for the PiS balance-sheet in Poland. From finance, to unemployment or the army. I copied the important lines from @LewicowyPrawak Let's start with the state's financial situation (in billions of PLN) Under liberals 2008-2015: + 13% Under PiS 2015-2022: + 74%

On the 19th of October 1984, a Catholic priest called Father Popiełuszko was murdered by the communist regime. This Polish priest dared face communist tanks, troops and repressions armed with nothing more than the courage to speak the Truth.

Great speech and visuals with a focus on Germany's weakness. It's not just high energy prices or regulation (always been the case). Put simply, China has moved up the value chain and no longer drives Germany's export-led growth. If the US turns protectionist, Germany is cooked.
The euro area economy is stagnating. But some countries are growing much faster than others. What explains this heterogeneity and how can we escape stagnation? This was the topic of my #WalterEuckenLecture @EuckenInstitut. 1/25

🇪🇺 “The EU only has 2 or 3 years to put an end to the total domination of the US and China,” believes Macron. “The EU can die, we are on the threshold of a very important moment" Macron and his political family are responsible for this. politico.eu/article/emmanuel…

🇵🇱 "Tragic results of state-owned companies. Profits turned into losses.” In other words, with conservative, only positive results (sometimes even impressive). Now it is a mess. The experts about Poland who were obsessed by PiS are now silent. bankier.pl/wiadomosc/Tragicz…

Not stupid, but very cynical, he is not afraid to say something one day and the opposite the next day. It works if you have media support and big institutions like the EU. But this little game is more difficult on social medias.
The dumbest person in Poland, perhaps in the whole of Europe.

France is entering into a debt crisis, the main reason are the pensions: "Pensions are responsible for 52% of the increase in public debt since 2017, or 438 billion euros."

Retirees are the main voters of Macron, who represents that old pro-European liberal center left/right that has ruled France since Mitterrand. Their society was based on individualism (no children, high divorce rate, etc.) and mass immigration. This is all about to collapse.

Pro-Ukraine Twitter users, including Ukrainian politicians, are surprised by the tone taken by the new Polish government, which they expected to be more pro-Ukrainian. It's simply that they don't understand Polish domestic politics:
🇵🇱 Poland's Foreign Minister Sikorski "Ukraine has taken the war to Russia's territory... Those who want peace should be calling on both sides to withdraw their forces to the international line."

The problem of Ukrainian seeds, the demonstration of Polish truckers who blocked the highways or the negation of the massacre of Volhynia was never created or an obsession of the Polish right but these are transpartisan issues in Poland.

The new Polish government is simply following the trend emerging within the EU: the war must end, even if the conditions are not the best for Ukraine.

EU, ecologist NGO's (funded by Germany) have a responsibility for the scale of the catastrophic floods occurring in Poland. They have always protested against all the work undertaken to enlarge Polish rivers in the name of “nature”. Another success for the "independant experts"
"Renaturyzacja rzeki, przyspieszenie jej biegu jest absolutnie kluczowym wymogiem do tego, by Odrę z powrotem oczyścić i zwiększyć jej odporność". @Ula_Zielinska, "Zeit für die Oder", 28 maja 2024.

On the 17th of September 1939, the Red Army invaded Poland, unleashing a wave of mass murder, rape, plunder and deportations. This was made possible by the German-Russian alliance on the one hand and the indifference of the world on the other.

17 September 1939 | The Soviet Union invaded Poland, assisting the Germans, as agreed in the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact & its secret protocol that divided Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland & Romania into German and Soviet "spheres of influence." #unredeemed The text of the secret protocol from 23 August 1939: 1. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement in the areas belonging to the Baltic States (Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), the northern boundary of Lithuania shall represent the boundary of the spheres of influence of Germany and U.S.S.R. In this connection the interest of Lithuania in the Vilnius area is recognized by each party. 2. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement of the areas belonging to the Polish state, the spheres of influence of Germany and the U.S.S.R. shall be bounded approximately by the line of the rivers Narev, Vistula and San. The question of whether the interests of both parties make desirable the maintenance of an independent Polish state and how such a state should be bounded can only be definitely determined in the course of further political developments. In any event both governments will resolve this question by means of a friendly agreement. 3. With regard to Southeastern Europe attention is called by the Soviet side to its interest in Bessarabia. The German side declares its complete political disinterest in these areas. 4. This protocol shall be treated by both parties as strictly secret.

OTD in 1939 Soviet Russia joined its ally Nazi Germany and invaded Poland. Putin personifies modern day distorted Russian mindset when he claims that Russia never attacked Poland, and states that "the Red Army entry to Poland saved many lives.” dispropaganda.com/single-pos…
