On the 19th of October 1984, a Catholic priest called Father Popiełuszko was murdered by the communist regime.
This Polish priest dared face communist tanks, troops and repressions armed with nothing more than the courage to speak the Truth.

Great speech and visuals with a focus on Germany's weakness. It's not just high energy prices or regulation (always been the case). Put simply, China has moved up the value chain and no longer drives Germany's export-led growth. If the US turns protectionist, Germany is cooked.
The euro area economy is stagnating. But some countries are growing much faster than others. What explains this heterogeneity and how can we escape stagnation? This was the topic of my #WalterEuckenLecture @EuckenInstitut. 1/25

On the 17th of September 1939, the Red Army invaded Poland, unleashing a wave of mass murder, rape, plunder and deportations.
This was made possible by the German-Russian alliance on the one hand and the indifference of the world on the other.

17 September 1939 | The Soviet Union invaded Poland, assisting the Germans, as agreed in the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact & its secret protocol that divided Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland & Romania into German and Soviet "spheres of influence." #unredeemed
The text of the secret protocol from 23 August 1939:
1. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement in the areas belonging to the Baltic States (Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), the northern boundary of Lithuania shall represent the boundary of the spheres of influence of Germany and U.S.S.R. In this connection the interest of Lithuania in the Vilnius area is recognized by each party.
2. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement of the areas belonging to the Polish state, the spheres of influence of Germany and the U.S.S.R. shall be bounded approximately by the line of the rivers Narev, Vistula and San. The question of whether the interests of both parties make desirable the maintenance of an independent Polish state and how such a state should be bounded can only be definitely determined in the course of further political developments. In any event both governments will resolve this question by means of a friendly agreement.
3. With regard to Southeastern Europe attention is called by the Soviet side to its interest in Bessarabia. The German side declares its complete political disinterest in these areas.
4. This protocol shall be treated by both parties as strictly secret.

The Red Army was followed into Poland by the NKVD, which had lists of educated elites, civil servants and clergy to be eliminated as an obstacle to the Sovietization of the captured Polish lands.
The lists were the Soviet equivalent of German Sonderfahndungsbuch Polen.

Terrible widespread floods in southern Poland since Saturday 14 Sept.
Sadly, despite the alarming forecasts available for at least a week, our shiny globalist govt led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk still did not see the need to worry about the situation on Friday.

Something's rotten in the state of Poland...
Russian spy Pavel Rubtsov, arrested in 🇵🇱 in 2022 and included in a prisoner exchange on August 1, 2024 (📽️ welcomed personally by Putin) has been granted access to secret documents on his own arrest shortly before his release.
🤦♂️
The counterintelligence materials he was granted access to contained all the details of Poland's services operation against him.
🤦♂️🤦♂️
He was allowed to study them for weeks in the heart of Poland's counterintelligence agency ABW - its Secret Chancellery.
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Rubtsov gained access to files through regular motion for information on his own detention. Of course, as a foreign spy he could have been refused on the basis of national security. However, Poland's Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar @Adbodnar decided GRU and the Kremlin needed detail knowledge on the operations of Poland's counterintelligence...

Obama famously ridiculed Romney in 2012 for suggesting Russia was a threat. Two years later, he did next to nothing when Putin seized Crimea and invaded eastern Ukraine, setting the stage for the full-scale invasion of 2022. Many Ukrainians feel Obama owes them an apology
