We had the Labor party sit in the house of reps slagging off Australians as "violent" "needy" "abusive" "demanding" and all the other insults they had today. Whoops! Prime Minister Albanese has accidentally exposed Laborโs real censorship agenda.
He has now confirmed that the new social media โDigital Duty of Careโ scheme is nothing more than a back-door attempt to resurrect Laborโs rejected Misinformation and Disinformation Bill, while boasting about it overseas to his elite globalist friends.
Thatโs despite his own Minister for Travel Expenses and Grand Final Rorts, Anika Wells, who also doubles as Laborโs Minister for Censorship, assuring Australians just two weeks ago that it โisnโt about misinformationโ.
Australians are supposed to believe one story at home while Labor tells a completely different story overseas.
In his own words, Albanese admits these powers are being sold under the banner of โchild safetyโ today, while laying the groundwork for much broader controls on speech and public debate tomorrow.
If there was ever any doubt that this legislation is a Trojan horse, the Prime Minister has just all but removed it.
Most revealing of all, Albanese has explicitly linked the need for new censorship powers to the rise of One Nation, declaring that โPeople are moving away from the centre and more and more to the extremesโ.
In other words, Australians are abandoning Labor in growing numbers, rejecting the political establishment, and Labor's response is not to listen to them, but to seek new powers to police online debate and suppress criticism.
This is what governments do when they are losing the argument.
They stop defending their record and start looking for ways to control the conversation.
The truth is Labor cannot tolerate Australians questioning its failures on the cost of living, housing, energy prices, migration and government waste.
Instead of fixing the problems it created, it wants new powers to manage what Australians can see, hear and say online.
There appears to be no limit to how far this desperate Labor Government will go to protect its grip on power.
Albanese should scrap this censorship scheme immediately, stop grandstanding overseas, and get back home to deal with the crises Australians are living through every day.

My mum has lived on a DSP her whole life too. She has an intellectual disability.
I'm not a rich person, I don't own stocks, and I haven't made millions or have the network and reach, like yourself.
I did however, purchase my mother a home the SECOND I could afford to get a second mortgage so she had stable housing, and was less of a burden on the taxpayer.
I'd love it if there was avenues for people like my mum, on DSPs to be able to positively contribute to society, in a meaningful way. I know she would too. She does her bit, cleaning rubbish from the streets and collecting cans. She is well known by the locals in her small community.
Plenty of us have come from nothing mate, but what strikes us as odd, is that you never helped your Mum into her own home, when arguably, you were the best placed person to do so.

We just got this review on our Facebook page. Enough is enough. The vile hatred, more often than not linked to physical threats, directed at One Nation, its representatives, members and now even voters has got to stop.
We have seen around the world, in similar democracies, where tolerating this sort of stuff gets you.

Attorney-General Michelle Rowland must retract her comments and apologise for slandering One Nation and its supporters while appearing to excuse the violent threats directed against them.
Millions of Australians support One Nation. They are not extremists. They are not dangerous. And ministers should not use language that encourages others to treat them as if they are.
No minister, especially the Attorney-General and first law officer of the country, should suggest there is any justification for threats against Australians because of the political party they support.
