My heart is broken reading the news about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. I have continued to call on President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu to prioritize food and medical aid to the Palestinians urgently. While I’m relieved to see some steps being taken, the US, Israel, the UN, and our allies must do everything in their power to surge food, water, and medical aid immediately.
Like so many, I am desperate for an end to this war and recognize a resolution must involve a return of all hostages and an end of Hamas rule in Gaza, the end of Israel’s military operations, and a plan to rebuild Gaza. While these negotiations continue, we cannot allow these dire conditions to threaten the lives of Palestinian families.

I think Dems will probably win the midterms (a second-term president’s party rarely ever wins the midterms) But if they lose or even if it’s close, we should ask whether it was a great strategy for Dem leaders to close the campaign promising no Dem leadership changes, promising no M4A, and promising not to pass legislation that Trump might veto.
Party leaders closing the campaign with a “nothing will fundamentally change” message seems suboptimal — and discordant with challenger candidates in tough races promising that things will change.

⚡️ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to demolish an entire Hebron neighborhood, expel its residents and build "more and more settlements" after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting near the illegally occupied West Bank city on Friday.
Two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a junction outside Hebron, killing a staff sergeant and a sergeant, before Israeli forces killed them. Palestinian media identified them as Hamouda Jaaba and Firas Jaaba, both 27, from Hebron. Netanyahu blamed Hamas but offered no evidence beyond ammunition the army said it found in their car.
"Our first step will be to demolish this site and completely transform it," Netanyahu said, adding Israel is "building and arranging over 100 new settlements." Israeli forces sealed off Hebron, the largest city in the West Bank, and arrested dozens as Netanyahu ordered preparations for a full closure of the entire West Bank – applying to Palestinians only, with Israeli roads staying open to settlers.
The news comes just five days before Israel's elections, with Netanyahu trailing in the polls.
