The farm tax and private school fee hike are among the most vindictive policies we’ve seen - driven purely by ideology with no regard for practicality. This isn’t about improving outcomes; it’s about scoring political points.

We are told that the NHS is under 'unprecedented' pressure every winter - you can set your calendar by it.
Why does seasonal flu push the service to 'breaking point' every year?
Perhaps it's time for a mature conversation about how healthcare is delivered in our country.
I can't recall any new government, and I'm old enough to have seen many, so quickly and brazenly break its manifesto pledges. Yes, circumstances change, requiring policy changes. But even so...
Still it could be worse. Just look at France!
Watched some of GB News' interview with Eric Trump last night. Interesting insights into his Dad's views on UK. Surprised that not picked up by MSM. Do they hate GB News so much? @BBCPolitics

The Green Mile. Nia Chapman filmed this sequence on the final day of blast furnace steel production at Port Talbot. Well worth a watch (and remembering, before you cast your vote next time). We gave this up in pursuit of Labour’s net zero and climate change policies.

All else aside - if a more respectful and open debate was conducted at the time around the costs and consequences of lockdown, I have no doubt that countless life years would have been saved.
Those who attempted to shut down debate with slurs should be ashamed of themselves.

Like Keir Starmer, I grew up in a pebble dash house (council). I did my homework on my single bed, books and files on candlewick mattress (no desk). Sometimes, on kitchen table.
Or I got a bus to the town library. Amazingly, managed to do well in my exams without use of penthouse.
There are millions like me.

Cracking down on pubs will make no difference whatsoever - all that will happen is people will simply drink at home, and countless more pubs will be left to rot away.
Government should be doing more to support the British pub, not forcing people even further away from them.

If approved, Labour's planning reforms will result in the industrial scale urbanisation of Bucks.
At last week's @BucksCouncil meeting, I voted for a motion to oppose those plans.
The @BucksCouncil Lib Dem/Labour group voted to support the Government rather than our county.

This is a marvelously tender, well-written love story of a brilliant young Australian pianist and a brave French man set against a background of the highest level of concert piano music and the terrifying threat of the invasion of England by Hitler.

Delicious irony for avid Remainer Starmer is that in the EU VAT on school fees is not permitted. So if he manages to drag the UK back in, he'll have to drop the policy.
