🌱@CTGAAL Empowering Communities🏘️ through Education 📚 & Care 💖
As part of our continued commitment to social responsibility and sustainable community development in Jordan 🇯🇴, we signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to support education and social welfare initiatives.
🎓 The first MoU, signed with Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, will establish a scholarship program supporting 10 outstanding students, helping talented young students to pursue their academic aspirations.
🤝 The second MoU, signed with the Salem Al-Aqaileh Association, will provide support to orphaned children in our local communities in Jordan🇯🇴.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Governor of Ma’an, Mr. Khaled Al-Hajjaj, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening community welfare and expressed his appreciation for China Three Gorges Asia-Africa (CTGAAL) contribution to local development.
We believe sustainable development goes beyond clean energy—it is also about investing in people, expanding opportunities, and building stronger communities.

Powering Pakistan at 75!
Today, we turn to the third card—a story of 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕. In Pakistan, CTGI’s impact goes far beyond clean energy—it is also a story of investing in people, supporting communities, and creating lasting opportunities.
Since 2016, the Three Gorges Wind Power Projects in Pakistan have supplied desks, stationery, fans, lighting, and water facilities to 10 local primary and secondary schools, enhancing learning environments for thousands of students.
During the construction of the Karot Hydropower Project, more than 20 community initiatives—including schools, healthcare facilities, and roads—were delivered. The project also generates over 4,500 direct and indirect jobs annually, boosting the local economy. A resident of Kanand Village reflected: "Our Chinese friends have brought not only clean energy, but also new schools, hospitals, and roads."
Over the years, the Three Gorges Wind TGW Project has been recognized in a global solicitation for Best Poverty Reduction Practices. Together, these initiatives have benefited nearly 800,000 residents, fostering a more inclusive and sustainable future. @CTGI_2011 @CTG_1993

Get an up-close look at clean energy engineering in action at the Karot Hydropower Project.
Recently, faculty members and students from the Electrical Engineering and Project Management programs at Bahria University visited the Karot Hydropower Project to gain deeper insights into hydropower development and plant operations.
Through presentations and on-site exchanges, participants explored key topics including plant operations, project management, and environmental considerations. The group also toured major facilities such as the spillway, main dam site, and control room, gaining firsthand exposure to the workings of a large-scale hydropower project. @CTGAAL

CSAIL celebrates 75 years of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
To the next 75 Years of developing safe, reliable and sustainable energy projects in Pakistan.
mobile.chinadaily.com.cn/uk/…
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. Through changing times, China-Pakistan friendship has remained as strong as iron, with the two countries often termed as "Iron Brothers", while green cooperation is becoming a new highlight of bilateral ties.
Located on the Jhelum River in Pakistan, the 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project, developed by CTG and operated by CSAIL, is known as Pakistan's version of "Three Gorges Project". It is the first major CPEC hydropower project in commercial operation and the first large-scale hydropower investment project under the Belt and Road Initiative. With an average annual output of about 3.206 billion kWh, it can meet the electricity demand of more than five million local people.
CSAIL also operates three wind farms in Jhimpir, Sindh, with a combined installed capacity of 148.5 MW. Together, they deliver about 443 GWh of clean electricity every year, enough to meet the power needs of more than 600,000 people.
But this partnership is not only about electricity.
Beyond power generation, CSAIL has supported biodiversity protection along the Jhelum River, community infrastructure, roads, bridges, water systems, hospitals, schools, scholarships and flood relief.
From hydropower to wind power, from energy supply to community support, these projects show how clean energy cooperation can bring long-term value to people, nature and development.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between #China and #Pakistan.
Over the years of deep engagement in Pakistan, @CTGAAL has woven its journey into six posters, each capturing a genuine and meaningful story of connection, energy, and shared growth.
Clean Energy | Karot Hydropower Station
-A flagship clean energy project is located along the Jhelum River
-Total installed capacity of 720 MW, generating an average of 3.436 billion kWh annually
-Bringing reliable electricity to around 5 million residents
-Reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 3.5 million tonnes each year, injecting lasting green momentum into Pakistan’s energy transition.
What will the next poster reveal? Stay tuned. @CTGI_2011
@CTGAAL proudly celebrates the achievements of its employees who have made remarkable contributions across its international projects in 2025 🎊 👏 . Mustafa Umar Riaz, General Manager from Strategic Investment Department at our Islamabad Office, has been awarded "Outstanding Employee" award by @CTGI_2011.
Mustafa has played a key role in expanding the company’s international business. With strong market knowledge and excellent communication skills, he has supported major projects in Jordan, Pakistan, and Malaysia, helping advance hydropower and solar energy opportunities while strengthening cooperation with global financial institutions.
@CTGAAL proudly celebrates the achievements of its employees who have made remarkable contributions across its international projects🎊 👏. Tarek Elsabaa, the finance manager at our Cairo Office, has been awarded "Outstanding Employee" award by CTG International.
He has successfully managed the finances of five solar projects in the region. He improved financial systems, led the successful launch of the ERP system, and built strong trust with local and international banks, supporting stable project financing.
We’re proud to support the @MoENVJo of Jordan's, “Leave Your Bag in Your Car” initiative in #Petra, Jordan — a simple yet impactful step toward reducing litter and promoting responsible waste disposal.
@CTGAAL operating 7 projects with a total generation capacity of 193 MW in #Jordan, puts sustainability at the core of our business operations.
As part of this initiative, we contributed 500 specially designed in-car waste bags to help drivers dispose of waste responsibly instead of discarding it on the roads.
Supporting this campaign reflects our broader commitment to environmental stewardship — not only through clean energy generation, but also by encouraging everyday behaviors that protect our environment.
As part of its corporate social responsibility commitment at Karot HPP, @CTGAAL organized a scholarship counseling and community awareness session in collaboration with @ThisIsNUST for local students from surrounding communities.
The session guided students on entry test preparation, admission processes, and fully funded scholarship opportunities, helping them better understand pathways to quality higher education. Students actively engaged with NUST representatives, gaining valuable insights into eligibility, applications, and academic planning.
We remain committed to empowering local communities by not only creating equal educational opportunities, but also ensuring that they have the access to the right information, supporting youth in achieving their academic aspirations. 🌱📘
