The @nytimes has compiled an incredibly detailed and comprehensive account of the massacre committed in Iran, by direct order of Supreme Leader Khamenei. It was so graphic and so harrowing that I was unable to read to the end. If you know someone downplaying what happened or peddling conspiracies please show them this. @farnazfassihi nytimes.com/2026/01/25/world…

“There is a certain irony in invoking Havel…while deepening strategic alignment with regimes whose influence is built precisely on coercion, ideological manufacturing, and the disciplined projection of power. Engagement with difficult states may at times be necessary. Strategic naivety is not an option.” - @sherylsap blogs.timesofisrael.com/cana…

EDITORIAL: China is the real threat, not the U.S. Despite the current hysteria of many in Canada’s chattering classes, the greatest security threat we face is not the United States but China. Mark Carney said so. So did the foreign interference inquiry. torontosun.com/opinion/edito…

Open version of my op-ed: Canada protects freedom of expression as a fundamental Charter right. The speech is protectable, but there must be consequences for those with the intent to harass or intimidate others based on their religion or political beliefs. teapawt.net/mgeist/status/19933200…

Today is the 27th anniversary of the assassination of journalist Tara Hayer - killed after exposing the Air India suspects and agreeing to be a witness in the terrorism case. I wrote this on the 20th anniversary. Shocking no one has ever been charged. vancouversun.com/news/crime/…

Concordia University was *particularly* hard hit by the 1985 Air India bombing. Two professors, multiple students, one professor (who is still on staff) lost his entire family. Yet another reason it's abominable the school has allowed itself to be consumed by violent extremism.

So as Foreign Minister, @melaniejoly had her officials wine and dine women who went to join ISIS. First class flights, room-service, wine, yummy snacks. WTAF. And the victims of ISIS? Well you know their stories already: slave markets, beheadings, systemic rape, for their so-called caliphate. “The stark contrast between how our government treats perpetrators and how it treats their victims should alarm every Canadian and offend every taxpayer.” Sheryl Saperia summarizes it perfectly. The international coordinator of a terrorist-listed organization based in Vancouver broadcasts Hamas marching orders, on X, and it’s normal. This is what we've become.
Please join us: take to the streets, act, escalate, mobilize and struggle -- wherever we are. Of course, direct action that imposes a material cost on the zionist-imperialist genocidaires is the highest priority. Look at the response to Palestine Action in Britain to see!

Only 60 days of house arrest for a man convicted of threatening to bomb all #Toronto synagogues and “kill as many Jews as possible”. Sorry, what?! What message does this send to our friends in the Jewish community? And to the antisemitic bad actors? globalnews.ca/news/11094503/…

Canada has an IRGC problem
Canada has barred the entry of anyone involved with the Iranian regime at a senior level at any time since 2003. In 2012, Iran was designated a state sponsor of terrorism by the Government of Canada, making it even more vital that Iranian applicants and visitors be vetted for ties to the Islamic regime.  This week, reports revealed that border authorities are investigating or taking action in 66 cases of suspected senior Iranian officials who are now in our country. Lots being said and written about this. But there’s MUCH more to the story. Here are five crucial considerations: 🧵
