Major #TBT: During @BwoweIvan’s regime as guild president MAK, we had the most strikes particularly against the 60% tuition policy.
I just heard the news on @882SanyuFM about his court appeal for the Nakawa West parliamentary seat. Ivan doesn’t relinquish that easily. That is what I know about him.
Images: 1). That was him addressing and rallying us to push on. 2). Me standing with him on the police truck holding the vuvuzela.

Yesterday I had the privilege of preaching at St Mark’s Mitcham on “The Power of Prayer.”
Later, my wife and I joined worship at @HTClapham, once the spiritual home of the Clapham Sect. Led by William Wilberforce, these late-18th and early-19th-century evangelical reformers fought to end the slave trade, advanced social reform, and promoted Christian missions, including Henry Venn (a founder of the Church Missionary Society) and his grandson John Venn.
A powerful reminder of how faith and prayer can transform society.

Ndugu @Ronkawamara, you have kept your head high and provided leadership through a very difficult time. We're proud of you, bro! Blessings 🙏
Silence is wisdom 🙏
Again this post is addressed to those well meaning people who have been duped to sympathize with Best Kemigisa as she tries to desecrate our cultural heritage. Many of you have said this is not the right moment to attack the former queen mother because she is grieving the loss of her son, late King Oyo. Here is my reply on timing.
Best Kemigisa has not been grieving her son, she has been scheming to usurp power in our kingdom. Which mother in the midst of grief would have the audacity to invent a non existent child to succeed the throne? Which grieving mother would be calling and lying to the president of the country??
It is now more than two weeks since Oyo died. If he left a son, can she produce the son or at least a photo of him? Even in her own funeral speech at the church service, she made no reference to the existence of that son. Does anyone know of a person who died and the family did not show, or even mention, the existence of their only child? Please!!!
On September 9, 2025, Best Kemigisa hosted a baptism party for her grandson, the child of her daughter Ruth Komuntale. She gave a public speech where she said she has one grand child and asked Oyo to find a queen and give him another grand child. One year later, Oyo had produced a 3 year old boy. I attach a story in Daily Monitor of September 11, 2025 referring to this event on this tweet.
Where does a grieving mother find the wherewithal to engage in such fraud? And we are asked to give her time to “grieve” when she is using “grief” to hoist her grand nephew onto our throne. We are asked to exercise restraint, to be understanding, to be tolerant, to be quiet, to be respectful as she takes over our kingdom!! NOOOO!
When all these schemes were foiled, she refused to release the body from the palace to church. The army intervened to release it. Then she tried to pull another stunt at the royal burial grounds and literally delayed the burial by more than two hours beyond what custom demands. Again it took the army to wrestle the body from her, and this after the president had personally called and pleaded with her to be reasonable. Again we are asked to ignore this, to allow her to “grieve”!
So please, don’t falsely accuse Best Kemigisa of grieving. If she did, it was not necessarily grief of losing a son. That was secondary. Her primary grief was loss of power. That is what matters most to her. And it is the reason she has spent most of the time since King Oyo’s death manipulating public opinion by feigning grief to win sympathy and then use this to desecrate our most valued customs and traditions.
Batooro have been very accommodating, tolerant, respectful and forgiving of her many transgressions over the years. This is what gave her license to walk over the Royal clan; to exercise impunity, and to disregard our culture. Not anymore!
Rest In Peace Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Peace.
You will be dearly missed but not forgotten, thank you for inspiring our generation.
Sad to say Goodbye 👋
Your Excellency, @KagutaMuseveni, we humbly appeal to you to consider declaring a public holiday in honour of His Majesty King Oyo during this difficult moment for the people of Tooro.
The passing of a young King has left the Kingdom and the ….
The saddest of moments… 💔
No parent should ever have to experience the unimaginable pain of losing a child. There are no words deep enough to describe such a loss, and no grief more painful than that of a parent burying their own child.
Our thoughts and prayers are with ..
This quoted post is unavailable.
Her speech on 9th September 2025 was a prayer for King Oyo to marry and have children. If that prayer was answered shortly thereafter, shouldn’t we now be expecting King Oyo’s heir who is about three months old? 👀
