Maybe this is a personal take, but This is the same reason stuff like Ayn Thor, or subscription servers with 100+ options at launch or hacking stuff n bla bla is not as appealing because games aren’t like songs/movies where u just listen for a few minutes or invest an hour or 2 for a show/movie. A game is a commitment and when u have so many options at once you kinda just get choice paralysis or play a bit of each and never get invested. I think the Novelty is stronger than the actual desire LOL.
It’s kinda why I understand Nintendo adding NSO games consistently as opposed to just having the whole library dropped there day 1

There’s debates on if Splatoon 4 should add a third species to go along with inklings and octolings. I propose a smart gorilla species (made with fuzzy ooze), along with a new weapon type that shoots out electric ink? Also, make the Big Bubbler a sub weapon, and add a leap move
