23rd October 1983. 41 years ago today, I won my first Molokai race, going head-to-head with 4-time champion Grant Kenny from Australia. Time has flown by since that unforgettable victory, and today, I face a different kind of challenge with equal determination. Heading to the hospital for more tests, I’m reminded of the battles won, both on and off the water.
