Science is supposed to rest on reproducible evidence, not institutional assurances. “Trust us” is not very scientific.
Full breakdown (and more) in today's article: electroverse.substack.com/p/…
That's not fabrication, it's homogenisation. Station closes, you estimate from nearby ones, standard and fully documented. And look at your own chart, the unadjusted yellow line warms in the 2000s too 😅
I'm sorry but force feeding a bird through a tube and milking a cow are NOT the same thing my guy 💀

This is the scale of bushmeat poaching we are up against: Organised, widespread and inflicting plenty of pain ⬇️.
In a recent aerial and ground operation, an ambush led to the recovery of more than three motorbikes, more than 140 slain dik-dik and birds and hunting equipment. Community members helped too, providing intelligence that led to further investigations.
It’s a blow to the poachers, and it shows why we need rangers in wildlife areas and aerial surveillance to cover landscapes the size of small countries. Your support helps us send 30 teams out every day to patrol and stop wildlife crime in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/p…

Severe deforestation has led to all Gibbons being endangered. These incredible primates are known for their loud singing through the rainforest, but these melodies have mostly disappeared. 🌳🎶❌
Most species remain in small forest patches, with poaching also threatening. 🥲🐒
Appalling. I camp and photograph wildlife in places like this and deer deserve peace on protected land, not quad bikes and riders chasing them. Glad the ranger and police showed up 🦌
The ice cap advanced for centuries then flipped right around 1960... right when emissions took off. That's not a coincidence, that's literally the point of the paper 🔥

CO2 stopped the next ice age in its tracks, a Science paper claims.
It points to the Barnes Ice Cap on Baffin Island.
The ice advanced for centuries until 1960, then turned around.
The authors blame greenhouse gases for ending the glaciation before it could grow big.
The same group had a different take on the ice cap just nine years ago.

Titan has lakes of methane at -179°C, not oil wells 😅 that proves nothing about oil being renewable here 🔥

AI HYPERSCALE DATA CENTER DOOM
By their gargantuan size and energy demand, the exponential increase in AI driven hyperscale data centers is a world doomsday project. It is bound to crash the climate and the planrt. Between 2024 and 2025, US hyperscale data centers emitted 50 million tons of CO2 with 60% from fossil fuels.

Agreed 💯 you can't 'look after' someone you're planning to kill. Exactly!! That poor baby in the sack broke my heart 😔 Animals deserve so much better 🧡 #animalrights
People think that animals are “looked after” on farms. 🥺
But as @JohnOberg explains, this is about as far from the truth as possible. 😣
Can you “look after” someone, whilst raising them to be killed for food (that people don’t even need)? 🤔
Living #vegan is truly the best way to look after animals. Don’t you agree? 🧡

Not the petition where Perry Mason and a Spice Girl 'signed' as scientists 💀 climate denial keeps dying and we LOVE to see it 🔥

I'm sorry but the coal plant barely ran and somehow that's a win for coal?? That's literally the case FOR renewables + storage 🔋
𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁
A coal plant running only three weeks since April shows it was essential for reserves, not wasteful. The Denver Post headline has it backward. Wind production can crash to 6% of capacity when expected over 40%, and neighbors often have none. The alternative is blackouts costing $130 billion like in Texas.

Huge victory for wildlife in Lebanon! 🚨
Our teams have dismantled over 63,000 m² of illegal bird nets this autumn, saving an estimated 60,000 migratory birds as a result.
200+ birds rescued + 165 mist-nets dismantled on our latest mission alone!
Huge thanks to @LebISF 🫡 🕊️
Cats remain a delicacy of the people living Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces. On 10/18, in Anhui Province, animal protection activists discovered 400 cats heading a slaughterhouse there. The animals were saved. The truck is scheduled to deliver cats once every 2 days.
Cutting £10 billion off bills AND protecting jobs?? this is the energy policy we LOVE to see 🔥🔥
Wrote this in the @Independent yesterday - Jackdaw and Rosebank very much in the news, the bigger prize by far is to price fix our North Sea oil and gas, protect jobs and industry using a green energy mechanism - and knock £10 billion of our energy bills every year.
