Democracy and free speech exemplify Australia's past success as an open and honest nation. We must fight for freedom, prosperity, and energy independence.

Coal is KING around here. OK?

Do Australian governments ever read the bloody room? I’m talking Labor, Liberal and Nationals, both state and federal. After COVID, including Melbourne’s 262 days across six lockdowns, you’d think trusting Australians to manage their own lives might get a look-in. Instead, Canberra tried a misinformation bill, brought in under-16 social media restrictions and now wants digital duty of care. More rules and more oversight, and more boasts about “leading the world”. Alcohol taxes. Tobacco taxes. Vape restrictions. Hate-speech laws. Stamp duty. Licensing fees. The bloody list never ends. And the Greens are worse again. Tougher digital duty of care laws and fossil-fuel advertising bans. Some bloody freedom fighters. And in NSW, Minns Labor’s response to Bondi means some farmers and responsible firearm owners must give up guns they legally bought and paid for. Grown adults treated like children. Can we lead the world in starting businesses, inventing things and employing people? Give someone with an idea a fighting chance before burying them in paperwork, taxes and fees. I’m sick of bureaucratic expansion championed as a national achievement while Australians trying to get ahead have to fight their way through the bloody system. We’re a country of adults. Why the hell are we still putting up with being governed like children?

So Anika Wells handed over $40.5m to Australia Post in the May budget for electric vehicles, just months after the postal giant botched the acquisition of 500 Taiwanese electric trikes at a cost of $18.2m. In February, the entire fleet was withdrawn from service and warehoused when it was discovered they were not safe enough for posties to ride. What a waste of millions of dollars. While its planned upto 150 will be put back on the road, this debacle shows a failure of due diligence by Anika Wells and the Albanese government, as well as Australia Post. Yet, in #SenateEstimates, outgoing postal boss, Paul Graham, was still trying to argue the e-trikes were fit for purpose.🤦🏻‍♀️

What is the point of this hit-piece? Convicted of a crime, do your time, then reset your life. Now the @smh is hounding him. To achieve what exactly? Is this payback for @albomp 's $67M - $31M purchase of SMH's editorial integrity? This is vindictive, shameful and unethical.

Christ we dodged a fucking bullet.
BREAKING: The European Commission announced today which countries are under “migratory pressure” and will be able to send away some of their asylum seekers to other EU states under the “migrant relocation quotas” created by the EU’s new Migration Pact. The countries are: 🇪🇸 Spain 🇮🇹 Italy 🇬🇷 Greece 🇨🇾 Cyprus These 4 countries will be able to put asylum seekers into a “Solidarity Pool” for 2027 from which migrants will then be relocated in other EU states. The size of the Solidarity Pool was decided today but the information about it is being kept secret for now. 6 countries were classified as facing a “significant migratory situation” and will be allowed to request from exemptions of receiving quota migrants. Those 6 countries are: 🇵🇱 Poland 🇨🇿 Czechia 🇭🇷 Croatia 🇦🇹 Austria 🇧🇬 Bulgaria 🇪🇪 Estonia To receive an exemption, the country’s request has to pass a QMV vote (Qualified Majority Voting) in the Council of the European Union. Countries which are forced to take part in the Solidarity Pool will either have to take in the number of quota migrants assigned to them by the EU, pay EUR 21 000 for every quota migrant they refuse to receive or send significant resources to help the 4 countries under migratory pressure to handle the situation. Two countries have refused to take part in the entire new migrant relocation system and its fines. Those two countries are: 🇭🇺 Hungary 🇸🇰 Slovakia

Why are you not clear in your tweet that this is a completely obsolete study by now? Was done with sonnet 3.5/7 in early 2025. Do you think this type of manipulation helps fostering citizens’ trust in government?

The EU trade agreement signed by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese mandates that Australian beef and dairy farmers feed their livestock Bovaer (3-NOP), a synthetic feed additive designed to reduce emissions. This requirement will be legally binding and fully enforceable under EU law.

How do you defend the bloke single-handedly reinventing Capitalism? Would @JEChalmers share any of the credit for success, or just sheet out blame for failure? Treasurer Chalmers left taxpayers in no doubt about where any blame should be directed. Everywhere else.

Paul Graham continues to inhabit an alternative universe.
This is Paul Graham, the bloke who runs Australia Post. He was paid $3.1 million this year. Australia post lost $108 million so he sold $126 million in property so he could show a paper profit of $18 million and claim his $1.3 million bonus. Nice work if you can get it.

These are Kremlin talking points dressed up in diplomatic-speak.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace. Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions. For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace. Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment. We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability. Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments. We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations. Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation. These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace. This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking. We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.
