For more than 75% of Israel's history, it has ruled over millions of Palestinians it denies the right the vote. The equivalent would be, imagine if, since 1838, about about ~1/3rd of the population living under United States rule had been denied the right to vote because they are native Americans rather than white settlers. Israel is a democracy the same way the US would be a democracy if we stripped the right to vote from 110 million Americans because they had the wrong DNA.
"Q. How democratic is the Israeli vote – and who is being disenfranchised? A: About 15 million people live in areas under Israeli control. Just over 7 million Jewish Israelis and 1.7 million Palestinian citizens of Israel live within the country’s pre-1967 borders, known as the “green line”, and have full voting rights. In the occupied West Bank, more than 500,000 Israeli settlers can vote. They live among 3.1 million Palestinians who are subject to military rule and do not have the right to vote. In occupied East Jerusalem more than 230,000 Israelis with voting rights live among 350,000 Palestinians who cannot vote. Two million Palestinians in Gaza, who live under Israeli military occupation, according to the international court of justice, also have no vote." theguardian.com/world/2026/o…

The video Scott Jennings put out of Hasan Piker is an egregious instance of defamation. Republicans have gotten away with blatantly lying for too long, including about him this entire midterm season. It’s nice to see someone finally trying to hold them accountable.
Hasan Piker confirms he has filed a defamation lawsuit against Scott Jennings for $72 million Jennings falsely claimed Piker thinks "the USA resume lynchings against black people"

“You tell me to go home. Where’s my house? Have you left any house, or any country?” A Palestinian woman shouts at Israeli occupation soldiers blocking the way into the Jaldeh neighbourhood of Hebron, which the occupation army has kept under siege for a fifth straight day. The occupatuon soldiers order residents to go home while barring them from reaching those very homes, then push the crowd twenty metres back. The siege is part of a sweeping military operation the occupation army launched across Al-Khalil (Hebron) after two Palestinians killed two Israeli occupying soldier terrorists at a nearby checkpoint on occupied Palestinian territory. Since then, more than 3,000 Palestinians have been displaced from the city, and occupation forces have ordered families in the Ein Dir Bahha neighbourhood out of their homes before extending raids to Jaldeh and other southern districts. Hebron’s governor says occupation soldiers have arrested more than 70 people, stormed over 500 homes, and sealed the governorate with 128 gates and 120 checkpoints. It was at this same blockade that soldiers kicked and beat Hijazi Shawar al-Tamimi, a 70-year-old mukhtar, as he tried to reach his house to fetch his medication. @palpostn

A reminder that opposing this lady's insane genocidal opinion is illegal in 38 states.
"Carpet bomb them all". Speaking to The Guardian at an event ahead of Israel’s elections, a young Israeli woman called for Palestinians to be forcibly displaced from the Gaza Strip, saying they should be killed if they cannot be removed.

Replying to @Phil_Lewis_

They’ll tell you it’s not apartheid because Arab Israelis can vote, while 5+ million Palestinians under Israeli occupation are denied equal rights. They’ll tell you it’s a democracy because Jews from around the world can go to Israel and vote, while millions of Palestinians are denied the right to return to their homes. They’ll tell you the future of Israel is at stake, while they deny a future for Palestine. They’ll tell you the problem is Netanyahu, while the majority of Israelis support genocide, apartheid, and land theft. They’ll tell you the problem is Palestinians, while ignoring the decades-long occupation that brutalizes them. They tell you lies.

!! NYPD backing away from its no-bid contract with an Israeli surveillance firm after pushback.

Brazilians' blind spot is the hypothetical "eternal American empire". It's not too dissimilar to rightoids who believe America never won any wars because "it doesn't want to" or "we just have to try harder". The truth is, the American Empire is already on its twilight years. It has lost its leverage in the Middle East. It's abandoning NATO and the EU. Even in continental US, living standards are decaying day by day. Even the supposed military prowess of America is nothing more than a husk, a falsehood. As @imetatronink and others put it, America is incapable of fighting a peer adversary in the 21st century. And economically, it is gradually losing its grip on the world through the dollar. If Trump decides, in a flight of fancy, to freeze Brazilian assets, it will only serve to accelerate dedolarization due to American volatility. The fantasy of "resuming" American hegemony is just that: a fantasy. Trump surely has such ambitions, but many seem to be unaware that what he is doing is merely accelerating the end of the American Empire. Brazilians need to understand that America is not the mighty titan it once was. And perhaps even its "might" was fragile and illusory.
Poderia te recomendar "A retomada da hegemonia americana", da Maria da Conceição Tavares, mas fica claro, pela dua argumentação, que você não compreenderia nem o resumo. Não por acaso vocês são soldados de alguém do Janones.

No one takes seriously the words of US- and Saudi-linked enemies of Iran-Pakistani relations. With oil wealth collapsing, the days of US-controlled, Saudi-funded takfiri terror are darkening too. The Yemeni armed forces stood by Gaza; the Saudis stood by Trump. Choose your side.

A body wrapped in gauze Blood silently flows whenever the pain intensifies Outside, a merciless war rages, while a thin cotton tent offers no protection from the winter cold or the summer heat. Rodents surround it, along with water so contaminated that it is unfit even for tears, let alone drinking This is the story of little Rima, who suffers from a rare skin disease that has turned her delicate body into a map of pain On top of the cruelty of her rare illness, the harsh realities of war in Gaza have cast their dark shadow over her life, denying her even the most basic rights to a normal childhood or access to the medical care she needs to preserve what remains of her innocent life Rima is suffering and her tiny body can no longer endure any more pain. She understands nothing about the complexities of politics. All she knows is that she is hurting There are no treatments available in Gaza Our children are in danger

A message to those who still believe that it all started on October 7. No, it didn't. A 'managed genocide', to keep 1.5 million Palestinians "on the edge of life" was in force years before. Read the latest report by Eyal Weizman: "A military document called ‘Red Lines’ set the minimum number of calories required to sustain Gaza’s population at a level just above the UN definition of hunger (2100 calories a day for men, 1700 for women and a varying amount for children depending on gender and age). The total number of calories was translated into the tonnage required to feed Gaza’s then population of 1.5 million and thus the number of aid trucks allowed into the territory. The same went for megawatts of electricity and litres of fuel and water. What was seen as good behaviour was rewarded by an increase in the amounts coming in, any acts of resistance by the tightening of the siege, like a population-scale version of a Milgram experiment." lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v48/n20/…

💔 Gaza is being bombed while the world scrolls past as if nothing is happening. Our families live in fear, yet the world’s attention is fading. How many more lives must be shattered before the world cares again? 🇵🇸🥀

In this picture, you see a Palestinian woman named Hadeel Al-Dahdouh. Her home was raided while she was safe with her husband and her child, who was only two years old. They removed her hijab, placed her among men wearing only their underwear, and subjected them to severe beatings. They then dug a large pit and began burying the men alive. When the sand reached her husband's face and he began to suffocate, she tried to remove the sand from his face to save him. They beat her so brutally that even men would struggle to endure such violence. After that, they fired shots into the air, told her that her husband had been killed, and then released her. Today, she lives in Gaza, suffering from severe psychological trauma as a result of what she endured. As for her husband, he was released after three months, having endured a journey of torment inside the prisons. Throughout that entire period, Hadeel lived with the agonizing belief that her husband had been killed, unaware that he was still alive. Israel has committed filthy and savage crimes against Palestinians unlike anything the world has ever witnessed in the entire history of humanity.
