NEW: Federal prosecutors announce they will retry D.C. Councilmember Trayon White.
They told a judge today they plan to seek a superseding indictment, meaning they may bring additional charges against White. His bribery trial ended in a mistrial last month.

A mistrial is not a vindication. @trayonwhite was recorded accepting $35,000 in cash from someone seeking DC government business. The Council expelled him once and should do it again. And @Janeese4DC, the likely next mayor, called him her “mentor.” That’s a troubling signal about the standards we can expect at City Hall.
