I had the honour of #hosting the National Launch of Uganda’s #ECCE Policy, a powerful reminder that the future of any nation is shaped long before formal education begins. One Key lesson stood out clearly: 🔑Early childhood development is not just an education issue. It is a human capital, governance and national development priority. 📌The quality of care, nutrition, protection, stimulation and support a child receives in their earliest years ultimately shapes the strength of a nation decades later. Bridging Practice and Purpose: Learning Leadership by Doing Mentorship and learning come not only from hearing but from doing. At @FidelisLeaders , where I work, I have the privilege of working in an environment that translates leadership theory into practical excellence, a space that continually nurtures my growth, sharpens my understanding of governance, and strengthens my ability to lead with both vision and integrity. Recently, I had the honor of contributing to the Convening of CSO Board Members and Chairs training on Accountability and Governance in Civil Society Organizations. Observing how institutional leadership, regulatory compliance, and ethical stewardship align in practice has been invaluable. It has taught me that governance is not a static framework but a living culture that determines whether organizations thrive or falter. As the Thematic Lead on Democratic Governance and Social Inclusion on the @EU_YSBUg the depth of experience I gain from my work enables me to bring grounded, credible perspectives to policy dialogues and youth advisory engagements and empowers me to support fellow youth through @Dare_Fdn in structuring their start-ups, projects, and organizations on principles of accountability, transparency, and sustainability, helping them move from ideas to institutions. Every experience, whether in a boardroom discussion or a field dialogue, reinforces a shared truth: effective leadership is both learned and lived. “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” – John F.
