The line of continuity here is that in 2023 her audience wanted to hear one thing and now she has an audience that wants to hear the opposite. It is a fine example of how in the world of modern “news” media, all obligations - to morals, facts, consistency, truth - are totally subordinated to the categorical imperative of audience-satisfaction.

I’m still very surprised it is not more of a scandal at DoD– how in the world did decades of US military presence in the CENTCOM region result in what looks to be inadequate if not terribly negligent force protection measures?
