First media screening of a movie I attended. Ed Koch and Conan O’Brien in audience. Crowd cheers for the Lucasfilm logo, the long time ago card and opening crawl. Energy diminishes rapidly thereafter. Near silence by the closing credits. Little to no small talk as everyone exits.

In all seriousness: Winter Storm Warnings in effect from tomorrow, the first time we've issued one since *checks notes* 2011. Snow levels will fall to around 1,500 feet and accumulations of 12-18 inches are possible in the Central Coast mountains.
Map of expected snowfall for the Bay Area and Central Coast for Thursday morning into Friday night. Many of our higher elevation areas are expected to see snowfall, with snow possibly reaching the valley floor in northern Sonoma and Napa Counties. The highest snowfall accumulations may exceed one foot in parts of the interior Sonoma and Napa County mountains, the eastern Santa Clara Hills, the Santa Lucias, and the interior mountains of San Benito and Monterey Counties.

The “baby friendly” hospital trend is bullshit. Hospitals are privatizing and getting rid of nurseries to cut costs, not to benefit babies or moms. When I was recovering from a c section, I couldn’t physically sit up on my own, let alone care for the newborn they put in my room.

My extended family has been thrown into a hellish nightmare. My nephew and his wife, who live in Boston, just had their two sons taken from them in the middle of the night by CPS. Their sons are 6 months old, and 3 1/2. A baby and a toddler, the baby still nursing.
