So the Glasgow Commonwealth Games generated £233m for the Scottish Economy & 510 million people across the world watched it on their tv screens?
What an absolute disaster eh?
House jocks are absolutely fucking raging again that anything promotes Scotland in a good light

The BBC turned a tawdry tribunal featuring an unsavoury individual into a political weapon against the SNP. An identical tribunal in Darlington was virtually ignored. Hopefully the last we hear of Sandie Peggie.

STV News reporter Vanessa Taafft should take full responsibility for not informing viewers that shop owner Toni Dawson's attempts to politicise Storm damage is down to her being an ex-Tory Party candidate for the area. Doing the Tories dirty work, Vanessa? teapawt.net/msm_monitor/status/211…
Here is the same teary Largs shop owner who was being comforted by @stvnews @vanessataaffe today, not looking so teary when she’s grinning with her Tory branch manager👇
The very same afternoon.
She is a Tory activist and candidate.
Replying to @STVNews
Yes @vanessataaffe on STV News tonight really did say to Stephen Flynn ‘you blocked over the drains, do you take any responsibility for the flooding’.
What an embarrassment for @WeAreSTV
What is STV coming to?

If you're going to make child poverty levels your top story then you have to challenge *both* Govts, not just the SNP led Govt. You have to provide *full* context including UK Govt failures on energy bills and food prices. You have to compare levels across the UK.
BBC Scotland hasn't done that. It's airbrushed the UK Govt out of the picture. It's sole focus is on perceived SNP Govt failures. That's not news, that's propaganda.

Those arguing that an independent Scotland needs a “fully costed economic plan” should apply the same standard to the status quo.
What is the fully costed economic plan for keeping Scotland in the UK?
Show the projected costs, the income, the outgoings, the debt? Just how are pensions going to be paid for? What investment in Scotland will happen?
What are the long term economic assumptions that prove Scotland will be better in the union than independent deciding things for ourselves?
Show me where the UK government have posted these things and committed to them?

After 30 years of denial, the UK Treasury finally admitted that Scots had subsidised the UK by £27 billion (or £5,400 per Scot). Even before the oil boom, Scotland contributed much more to the UK economy than its other partners. This was kept top secret.

Great to be in Cardiff to meet with colleagues in Plaid Cymru and Sinn Féin.
Our parties share the belief that the people of our respective nations must be able to shape their own future.
At this pivotal moment of constitutional change, we will deepen our partnership.

The PISA results highlighted a major shortcoming within BBC Scotland News. It isn't equipped to scrutinise stories that demand scrutiny in order to be understood. Every reporter and presenter simply kept parroting the 'Scotland worse than England ... Scotland bad' line.
The PISA results were crying out to be interrogated. How did Scotland's poorest pupils do compared to the OECD average? Were the English results really as good as appeared at a glance? Were nuances missed? Does PISA itself have any shortcomings?
BBC Scotland blasted out a simplistic narrative every half hour on radio. It repeated it online and on TV. It platformed known agitators it knew would reinforce that narrative. There was a great deal of misinformation mixed in with the coverage.
The public were, once again, let down. Nothing of worth came from the BBC's coverage. Nobody at BBC Scotland had any interest in looking into the results to see what stories, successes and shortcomings they contained.

Over 60s free bus travel, under 22 free bus travel, and 2 quid cap coming for everyone else. Peak fares on trains scrapped. No other part of the UK has such a cost of living offer.

This is William Wallace, or at least it's his massive statue at Bemersyde in the Scottish Borders. Considered Scotland's National Hero, he fought during the Wars of Independence from 1297 until his execution in 1305.

This is how Reporting Scotland covered Anas Sarwar's two-faced entry into the House of Lords. Literally no mention of his pledge not to join or his description of the unelected chamber as an unacceptable institution that should be abolished.

The BBC didn't just insult Glasgow by submitting a derisory bid designed fail, it also tried to paint the Glasgow Games as a flop. A broadcaster that's had its day and should forfeit all TV licence cash from Scotland.

I ran a poll asking people if they bought into the BBC, Reform, and Conservative attack on Glasgow, saying the city was lawless and unsafe to visit. 76% dismissed the BBC/Unionist propaganda.

Let me get this right, an ex council leader, of a city with a crime rate per resident 60% greater than Glasgow's, is going to tell us why WM's form of governance is better for our nation. Typical colonial ignorance and arrogance! Independence 🏴🏴🇨🇮
