There are two sides of this coin. There are people that are just loving this and they are just actively trying to break their iPhone Duos. But on the other end, when you add up so many broken foldable phones in a short amount of time, most of them right around the same part in the hinge, it's still concerning.

I literally just filmed a video talking about exactly that. A lot of the criticism is unwarranted, but some of the criticism is just there because people don't understand how Google Books work. They don't view it as a Chromebook for web use AND app use, a better version of a Chromebook. But at least today they want a Mac replacement. But it's a catch-22 because if they basically came out and said that these are just better versions of Chromebooks, people would assume they could NEVER replace Macs, and Google hopes that they can with more desktop app support. Also, people would assume they are trash because they are going to be like Chromebooks... People naturally think Chromebooks are trash. And that would continue
But messaging this as some glorified AI PC is not actually sharing a clear message about what this device is for. I get that almost any message would have been taken wrong. But they needed better messaging
I'm not sure why it says "one of the best" in the beginning. I was using Rambler and it must have added it to the beginning somehow. Not saying he's not good or anything, but I just think DL wasn't actually listening to what he said
I know I'm a white guy but I do have a heart for these issues. Don't mean to step in too much though.

One of the best DL is talking out of bad faith here. Stephen A was giving a general response to his audience when he says "what have you done" to indicate that he is using his platform for good which is more then some general critics. But he made it pretty clear that he wasn't talking about his high profile critics when he said that. He said he wasn't talking about a particular person. So responding like this, it's bad faith.
This is a huge problem that people like Ice Cube are demonized. Ray Lewis and others who just went to go have conversations they are demonized.
Some people can make change by being extremely outspoken. Some people will make change by speaking primarily to their black audience and staying in that bubble. And others will make change by trying to go between both worlds. By trying to understand both sides but trying to speak some sense across the aisle. If you can even educate the other side, even if they are in bad faith, and educate them an extra 5 or 10%, maybe their kids will be 5 or 10% more educated when they grow up. We can't make those changes without having those conversations. You're going to need a little bit of everything to make a real difference.
The side that has been demonizing Stephen A, in my opinion, is ultimately demonizing him because he is someone who wants to have those conversations, but also because they know he disagrees with them. I think some of them even fear that he will rally support for some conservative ideas since he does agree with some conservative stuff. And we are in a culture that instead of agreeing to disagree on some subjects and working together, we just demonize the other side, and the Republicans and Democrats are no different in that regard.
Just my take.

You can install web apps through the internet browser for some of the streaming apps and install the Prime Video app. You can sideload APKs for a lot of apps too, by the way. For me, yes, you have to put it on and there's a pain with that, but as a dad now with kids, sometimes I legitimately need to get away from real life. So it helps in comparison to a normal TV.
This is the same guy that said he would delete his X account, and of course he didn't. I am NOT an Apple defender, but SAND is not apart of the dust rating.
But this is the same guy who said the Pixel 11 Pro Fold dust resistance meant nothing, only to find out (When he opened up the phone) that dust DIDN'T get into the internal components. Only the hinge. But he didn't mention that, but was happy to say things in such a way to mislead everyone. Just like you punctured the Pixel 10 Pro Fold battery and made people think they will light on fire, even though you tore the phone up and punctured the battery yourself.
These IP certifications to my knowledge aren't handed out like candy. There's a reason why it passed the test. And there's a reason why SAND isn't apart of the test.
But by all means, keep spreading misinformation and doubling down, or say things so vaguely that your audience will do it on X. I know you love to fight against misinformation. Maybe you can fight against the misinformation your own channel causes

Sand entering in through the hinge has *direct* access to the backside of the screen where it can then puncture the display. You still have time to delete this.

Remember when you said you would delete your X account? You still have time to delete your account.
Also, you said the same thing about the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Really weird how when you tore the phone apart there was absolutely no dust and dirt inside the internals of the phone. Yet you smeared Google saying the phone wasn't dust resistant. You still have time to delete your video.
I'd say my favorite phone would still be the Galaxy S25 Edge. It brings that 200 MP camera to a crazy light basic phone. I love it.
I'm legitimately worried at this point now about that one weak point in the hinge that could be causing cracked screens. I don't want it to be "crackgate". I want Apple users to have a great fun foldable to put pressure on Samsung. So a little worried about that

It's a nice mouse, though. But yeah, I'm not sure why we need an AI mouse.

Way better then a $1,000 steam Frame. I think I paid like $320 on Facebook

The Real thing to do is check Facebook marketplace. You can find them for $300. I even had my repaired with tht fix my oculus guy for a little over $100 when the fan went out. Pretty economical. Facebook purchase+ a new comfortable head strap is tht way to go

Yeah the Quest 2 is very meh. The lenses are okay for gaming or working out but bad for any type of entertainment. The Quest 3 is so clear you can do a lot of entertainment on it. Very good in a lot of situations. I do cloud gaming too while watching tv
Yeah, I didn't get a chance to check it out, but I will. It seems like the hinge is really weak in one spot.

As much as I don't like JerryRig, I do think he uncovered something when he opened up the foldable in the last video he did

Erm… I’ve been getting nervous watching this spot on my #iPhoneDuo. I only noticed it this morning. I see the hinge pressing on this spot from underneath as I start to fold it.
And NO, I never press on the screen when folding. I hold from the frame only.
Anyone else?
Probably one of the most underrated devices out there. I'm watching NBA League Pass while scrolling X. It looks REALLY good. Not OLED. But like a really nice gigantic 2k to 4k display while I'm disconnecting from the real world. It's a great way to disconnect.

Why would I post long-form content on @Instagram when @YouTube actually pays me to post the same content? 🤷♂️
