Churchdown English

🎞 DAY 3 HIGHLIGHT REEL 🎥 This was a packed day with both @edgechristopher and @stewfoster1 , two visits from @PartonManor and Churchdown Village Primary, an afternoon lecture from @HughesHaili and an evening teacher CPD event sponsored by @TLS_dot_Club with Beatrice Garland.

Kamikaze has a message, Beatrice Garland says - “Don’t automatically do what you are told to do” Our Y10 and returning Y11s talking about the poem ‘Kamikaze’ with the poet herself. Incredible. #cdownlitfest @Team_English1

Yeah this is a student getting on the bus today. Signed books from @stewfoster1 and @edgechristopher along with many other purchases. A @NizRite book ready for tomorrow amongst others from @Booksforbugs - what a picture to sum up the week so far. #cdownlitfest

First talk of the day from @stewfoster1 about why he became a writer, his books and writing process. Two Y8 classes listening intently #cdownlitfest @EngChurchdown @ChurchdownSch

Three events at one time this afternoon! @simonjamesgreen with a double class workshop in the tent, @DeanAtta with Y8 in the hall, and Dr Emily Derbyshire from @BristolUni doing an ‘Othello’ workshop with Y12. What an afternoon! @ChurchdownSch @ChurchdownSixth #cdownlitfest
