Yesterday you stood in Michigan and called Norway a “shithouse.”
Your job was to help the Republicans hold the line in the midterms. Instead you failed, because your ego dragged you into a rambling defense of why you - the man who has repeatedly threatened to wipe the Iranian civilization off the map - somehow deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

We have the most beautiful country in the world. The purest water still turns into electricity that keeps our homes warm. No one matches our skill at finding oil and gas and lifting it from thousands of meters under the North Sea. We are proud of what we are and what we have achieved.
Yes, we too have grown complacent. Yes, too many of our leaders have also bent the knee to foreign elites and their corrupt politicians.
- But people are waking up.
It is true that many Norwegians long forgot our duty to defend freedom by resisting our own leaders’ hunger for power.
- But we do not have to take it anymore.
And yes, a Norwegian Nobel Committee once disgraced itself by handing the Peace Prize to the very ambitious President Obama - who immediately used that legitimacy to start more wars than any other American president before him.

Remember this: the strong bond between our nations was built on mutual affection and respect. And we have given more help, per person, to strangers in need than anyone else.
Many of us have watched, again and again, the film of President Roosevelt when he said “Look to Norway!” as he honored the men who were fighting with our Allies against Nazi Germany.
Can you even see the contrast? Do you grasp how scandalous you have been?
You made your own people feel ashamed while the cameras rolled.
Don’t you ever again dare confuse our great nation with a politically appointed committee.
I pray these midterms begin your downfall as president of the United States. May Congress impeach you, force you to pay for your sins, and shame you in public for the whole world to watch.
You will be remembered.
But mainly for your betrayal of your own. They will remember you for your bottomless greed and your incompetence.
And we - the Norwegian people - will never forget your insulting remarks about us and the country we love.
