So, with her permission to share this. My friend has a deadbeat father. Like deadbeat deadbeat. He didn’t even accept her pregnancy talkless of her birth. But his family and parents acknowledged her and took care of her to the best way they could. Her grandparents are kinda traditional so, they’re aware she’s theirs and has done some stuffs to be sure she’s theirs. Fast forward to over 25 years sha, we randomly talked about him and I told her to reach out to him. She first changed it for me and kept asking me what does she stand to gain? In my opinion, I just told her so she could get closure, because she’s dealing with certain things and I believed if she had a proper male figure in her life, it might not be that difficult for her. The guy responded that it's the groom that should shoulder full financial responsibilities for the wedding The groom has called off the wedding, called the priest and cancelled He sent his Umunna to go retrieve the bride price and other items that is refundable He proceeded to reach out to vendors to know how much he could recover Did the groom overreact?
