Leaving notifications on for calendar and to-do lists has been helpful for me

I get the same for gaming shorts

I've had 1:30 long videos go viral on Tiktok. There's no reason why YouTube should restrict us.
It's also really annoying having to cut videos even shorter just for YouTube specifically

Fun fact: Ridge Racer 7's multiplayer still works in 2023.
RR7 was a PS3 launch title released in 2006

We need more marketing for the trades.
My high school teachers always talked about "when you go to university..." so I ended up thinking it was the only choice.
Even the career days only market universities

Yes, just like successful entrepreneurs dumping $10k into a YouTube studio but getting only a few hundred views

Eh, Hamza had a phase in 2021 where he did daily uploads and had a bunch of editors do Mr Beast style editing.
He even had full time thumbnail designers.
That was when he experienced the most growrh

What are your audience demographics? If most people are watching from developing countries (Africa, India) then you'll have a low RPM

Gaming -> Formula 1 Game/Sim racing
I mainly post sub 8 minute videos. RPM ranges from $0.80 to $2
Shorts is $0.06 RPM. It was half this RPM when they first introduced shorts ads
The biggest creators only crack 4 mil monthly views during game launches (june/July)

That's surprisingly high

Gaming sucks! And you can't even monetise the audience much beyond sponsors and merch

Yes. I use YouTube music. The auto-download feature is very useful
