You don't need a CHEAT DAY!
You need a plan with room for the foods you like.
Put the donut in your plan.
Eat it > Log it > Move on
When no food is forbidden, no food has power over you.
Most people quit because they try to go from 0 to 100 in a day.
When I first started going to the gym, getting myself through the door on training days was hard enough. Morning sessions weren't even on the table. I'd have laughed if you'd suggested it.
But time passed. The routine set in. Training stopped feeling like a negotiation and started feeling like part of my week. Then one day I tried a morning session. I never looked back.
So what changed?
The simple answer: Habit stacking.
I didn't try to build a gym habit, train hard and wake up at 5am all at once. If I had, I'd have failed. Almost certainly.
Instead I focused on one thing: showing up consistently. Nothing else mattered until that was automatic.
Once it was, adding the next piece didn't feel like effort. It felt like a small step from where I already was. Training harder came next. Then the earlier start. Each habit sat on top of the one before it.
That's the whole idea. You don't need a new life overnight. You need one habit that holds, then another on top of it.
This works far beyond the gym. Diet, sleep, reading, your work, anything. Break the big goal into small chunks. Lock in the first one. Stack the next.
Small steps feel slow. But they're the ones that last.
