Texas didn’t get its first Latina governor because her own demographic unified; it happened because Black turnout delivered the decisive margin, extending a loyalty other groups rarely reciprocate. Now let’s see if Governor-elect Hinojosa repays that debt at the governing table. And let’s see if the Latino community FINALLY wakes up to build real power with us instead of working against their own self-interest.
