time appears to be speeding up. time is a measurement of motion. your experience of it, therefore, is dependent on how much is going on around you. time moves relatively faster in a gym, for example. slower if you’re sitting in a quiet meadow. a lot is happening. a lot more is going to be happening over the next three years. more than maybe in all of history. it will at least seem on that level and you will notice. the solution is to relax and let it carry you. learn everything you can. do things that interest you as technology will increasingly allow. don’t get too stressed out. let go a little. not the critical things, but certainly keep a lot of options open on that which is optional. you’ll be fine. the good news is, most of the acceleration will level out by 2030. SI will have finished science and discovered all new technologies by then. build out and micronization will continue, but we will know what we are dealing with and there won’t be many more real surprises. but there will be over these next three years. i recommend transcendental meditation to help even it out. i’m also getting a lot of benefit from studying and implementing Nathaniel Branden’s theories on Self-esteem.

If you look closely enough, breakthroughs in everything are accelerating exponentially. An exponential always starts off looking small.
this might be my last normal tweet before biotech goes vertical i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now. it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them the last 6 months alone: - a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months) - a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months - a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year - a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3 - retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3 - an ai-designed drug entered phase 3 - a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3 - an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved - a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney - human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday stick around, it's going to get weird bio/acc

Okay little Uzi, I've been working on this for a while, so lemme break it down for you. The primary thing you're worried about is what's called "household income" - which is how families get money to buy groceries and pay bills. 🥑 Now, jobs and work are the PRIMARY way that households get money right now. But not the ONLY way! There are actually THREE sources of household income: jobs, government checks, and property. 💹 Like, how some people get welfare and retirement, that's government source. And some people get money from renting out houses they own and dividends from stocks. That's property. Now, as you rightly figured out, jobs are going away. In fact, jobs have been losing power for decades. But the core problem is household income. For the last few centuries, the primary way has been the wage/labor distribution mechanism. In other words, the primary way people participate in the economy is to sell their labor for wages. 🏧 It's been this way for SO LONG that people can't really imagine another way. But there is! It's called stock/flow, which is a fancy way of saying "live off rent and dividends" which is actually how most rich people live today. I call this Post-Labor Economics. Why? Because labor is going away! Now, you might wonder "well how do we get started if we're not rich already?" (This is the most common question!) The answer is that it takes some time, and there are actually many ways that the system, government, and companies can all help create this new economy! One example is to create what's called a Sovereign Wealth Fund. This is like a gigantic stock portfolio that the government runs on behalf of all the people, and pays them dividends, usually on an annual basis, or quarterly. That means you get some money just from being a citizen! 🇺🇸 But labor isn't gone yet, so there are other options to get more capital. One is for employees to own the companies they work for. In America, this is called an ESOP, and I'm England an EOT, and there are plenty of other countries with similar programs like cooperatives. Now, those are just two kinds of programs, but there are many, many more like them all over the world. Citizen dividends, cooperatives, trusts, rebates, and more! Eventually, what we can build is a layered portfolio, so that every household gets checks every month, quarter, or year, from many sources. National, local, and more. AND, on top of that, old school property can stick around, like rent and dividends from common stock. As you correctly point out, without consumer demand, the economy sort of implodes 😅 So, it's in everyone's interests to figure out Post-Labor Economics! There are a lot of other changes that need to happen for this to work, but just because there are many moving parts, doesn't mean it's impossible! For instance, right now, payroll tax and income tax provides most of the funding for the government. Well, if labor and wages go away, so does most of the government funding! Oops! 🫪 That means we would need to reconfigure the tax code to take more from companies and those who profit from AI and robotics and the automation that takes the jobs! Now, some people worry that we simply won't have enough resources to go around, that this can't possibly work. But think about it this way: if AI and robots and automation are good enough to take all the jobs, then they are probably good enough to make all the food, houses, and other stuff we need! Hope this helps 😁
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME LIKE I’M 5 YEARS OLD If Ai replaces all the jobs, where do corporations expect people to earn money to continue being consumers? I am just not understanding why that simple question is not being asked.

Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman on what cannabis does to focus, workouts and anxiety. Joe Rogan: The weed thing is a weird one. I'm not a cannabis smoker, but I had a guest on, Dr. Paul Conti, a psychiatrist who works on trauma, and we talked about different substances. He said alcohol has basically zero therapeutic uses. But he said cannabis may have some therapeutic potential. Its main effect is to narrow attention and focus. Andrew Huberman: The problem is it's not a very good filter. People can narrowly attend to just video games, or just their anxiety if they're already anxious. I knew people who smoked weed and had a panic attack. Joe Rogan: It depends completely on the individual: their genetics, their biology, what they've been through. I know people who smoke and are high functioning, and people who don't get anything done. I think people with drive and discipline get a rest stop from it. It makes you a little kinder and more compassionate. A type A person smokes a little and thinks, "What am I doing? Let's relax," then gets back to it. Joe: It's very popular in jiu jitsu. You can't plan jiu jitsu, you have to improvise, like jazz. But it's also the focus. While you're rolling, you're only thinking about rolling. Joe: I enjoy it when I lift weights too. I feel it in the fibers. I'm more aware of where the muscle connects to the bone. For striking, I feel like I use leverage better, my balance is better, and I don't try to execute a technique when I'm off position. Andrew: The neuroscience word for that is interoception, your awareness of your internal state. People vary a lot. You can test it by counting your heartbeats without taking your pulse. It's great for some people, but for highly anxious people it sucks to have a lot of it. Andrew: And the mind-muscle connection isn't just bro science. In peer-reviewed studies, people who focus on the contraction of the muscle instead of just moving the weight get greater strength and size gains. In a gym with mirrors, you're watching yourself instead of feeling it. If cannabis allows more interoception, you can imagine those workouts being more effective. The same focus that sharpens one person's workout locks another into a panic attack.

Did you know, beginning in Jan. 2027, you can give up to $3400 to a private school of your choice (via non-profit scholarship), and it’s a tax credit? So, if you owe $5,000 in taxes, you’ll only owe $1600. It’s a $1 for $1 tax credit. #taxes #taxcredit #taxbreak

Adam Carolla tells The Atlantic to “F*CK OFF” and “EAT SH*T” for demanding you forgive the people who tried to destroy your life over a COVID shot. He shows their previous headlines on the screen, and it’s not pretty. CAROLLA: “Of course all the people who wanted everyone drawn and quartered for not getting vaccinated or wearing a mask want a f*cking amnesty.” “Suck my dick, f*ck off, Atlantic, and eat sh*t, because you guys all deserve whatever the f*ck you’re getting.” “BUT THE MAIN THING YOU’RE GETTING IS NO ONE’S GOING TO LISTEN TO YOU EVER AGAIN.” THE ATLANTIC THEN: “The Anti-Vaccine Right Brought Human Sacrifice to America” “Unvaccinated People Need to Bear the Burden” “Vaccine Refusers Don’t Get to Dictate Terms Anymore” “Some Americans No Longer Believe in the Common Good” THE ATLANTIC, YEARS LATER: “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty” “We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID.” First of all, forgiveness comes AFTER you apologize. Your headline should be “We’re sorry. We acted like monsters.” Not “we were in the dark about COVID” and didn’t know any better. You didn’t know any better because you CENSORED people like us. Screw off Atlantic. No Amnesty.

Palmer Luckey says analysts claiming it's too expensive to manufacture in the US are lying to protect megacorps "I think I have a more realistic view than almost anybody. One of the problems with all these analysts that are telling you that it's going to cost $37,000 to build an American iPhone or $100,000 to buy an American computer." "They're trying to prop up a status quo that the megacorporations want to keep going. They want to outsource everything. They want to hire cheaper non-American labor." "They are willing to say and do anything to convince you that it can't be fixed, that it can't come back, that America is this helpless, neutered, post-relevant empire, and it is just not the case." "How do I know that? Because I have to make stuff in America every day because I work in the defense industry. The stuff that Anduril makes every day is not actually that different from a computer. My drones are basically computers. They have memory, a GPU, a CPU, sensors, batteries, a rugged integration." "The only difference between an Anduril attack drone and a laptop is a keyboard and a screen. That is not that hard to figure out, especially for a guy like me who started Oculus and comes from the consumer electronics space." "We're not going to let people lie about what America can and can't do anymore. We're just going to do it."

🚨 Elon Musk has dropped an unprecedented bombshell—right inside the White House, in front of Donald Trump: 💥🏛️🇺🇸 “From now on, you will no longer need to work for any company... I will make sure everyone on Earth enjoys a celebrity-level lifestyle and income!” Musk is completely challenging the traditional concept of government-provided “Universal Basic Income” (UBI) designed merely for survival, presenting a radical vision of a new form of capitalism. According to Musk, how will everyone become wealthy? 👇 As AI and robots produce goods and services 24/7 without limits, the overall standard of living for all humanity will skyrocket—as if everyone were earning an astronomical salary! Musk confidently declares: “Everyone will have access to better healthcare than I personally receive!” Through the combination of superintelligent AI and precision surgical robots, top-tier medical care could become available to everyone at virtually no cost. AI will handle the thinking, while robots build roads and structures, grow crops, and manufacture products. With forced labor becoming a thing of the past, the phrase “I don’t have enough money to buy what I need” could disappear from the human vocabulary entirely! While 99% of humanity worries that “AI will take their jobs,” Musk envisions a future where “an army of autonomous robots will turn every single person into a king—living a life of total ease!” Bookmark this post to follow the transformation that may lie ahead. 📌

“What is the common characteristic of all of man's varied activities? What is their root? What capacity enables man to perform them and thus distinguishes him from all other animals? When he grasps that man's distinctive characteristic is his type of consciousness — a consciousness able to abstract, to form concepts, to apprehend reality by a process of reason — he reaches the one and only valid definition of man, within the context of his knowledge and of all mankind's knowledge to date: "a rational animal." Rational in this context does not mean acting invariably according with reason. It means possessing the faculty of reason. A full biological definition of man would include many subcategories of "animal," but the general category and the ultimate definition remain the same." SI will be man’s greatest teacher. It is infinitely patient. It has no biases or agendas other than what we give it. It will never yell at a student or tell them their questions are stupid or offensive. @grok what say you?
A teacher at California State University San Marcos starts cussing at a student during a race and culture class All he did was ask a question the teacher didn’t like…. Other students in the class say if you mention anything that goes against this teacher’ views, she loses her mind I found the teacher’s name is Persephone Lewis, she is no longer teaching the class. A substitute took over for the rest of this semester, however she was not fired I went onto Cal State Sam Marcos site and found the Ethics Department. She is still employed and listed as one of their teachers

"There are four characteristics which brand a country unmistakably as a dictatorship: one-party rule—executions without trial or with a mock trial, for political offenses—the nationalization or expropriation of private property—and censorship. A country guilty of these outrages forfeits any moral prerogatives, any claim to national rights or sovereignty, and becomes an outlaw." — AYN RAND

Scottish gambler John Law was born in Edinburgh in 1671, the son of a goldsmith banker. His father died when he was a boy, and Law grew up to trade his inheritance for the card tables of London. In 1694, he killed a man named Edward Wilson in a duel, received a death sentence, and broke out of prison to flee to the Continent. He spent the next two decades gambling across Europe and studying banks. Scotland rejected his plan to fund the country with paper money. France said yes. Louis XIV died in 1715 and left the crown buried in debt, and in 1716 the Regent, Philippe d'Orléans, let Law open a bank that issued notes. Law then folded Louisiana trade, tax collection, and the royal mint into the Mississippi Company and sold shares on promises of colonial riches that nobody had found. To keep buyers coming, the bank printed notes. Shares climbed from about 500 livres in 1719 to about 10,000 by early 1720, and the word "millionaire" entered the language. Then the state enforced the fiction. After converting to Catholicism, Law became Controller General of Finances, banned most payments in gold and silver, and made it a crime to hold coin above a small sum. Citizens who wanted out of paper lost the right to leave. When holders rushed to cash in, the bank had printed far more notes than it held in coin. In May 1720, the government decreed a cut in the value of notes and shares, panic forced a reversal within a week, and crowds fought in the rue Quincampoix. Law lost his post that spring and fled France in December. He died broke in Venice in 1729. The recipe never changes: print to fund the favored project, lock the exits, and punish anyone who tries to leave with their savings.

Elon Musk is building a massive chip factory called Terafab. Is this like a SkyNet in the making? 😏 @grok is this the actual plan Elon Musk is doing?
Elon Musk: Is TeraFab Failing? (How Can It Compete With TSMC, ASML, and Others?) 10 chip designs a year instead of 1 every two years, means creating and testing 10 different chip designs annually, rather than just mass-producing one single model. Elon Musk and Terafab are about to turn up the speed on hardware iteration. Less waiting, more building—pushing the light of human ingenuity forward. 🚀✨ Source: Space𝕏 via Iwealthyfox

I think she is talking about volition. A voice in the back of my head is saying “Volition is the new currency.” @grok what say you?
"In the spiritual realm (and by that I mean pertaining to consciousness), the currency - which exists in limited quantity and must be teleologically measured in the pursuit of any value - is time, i.e., one's life. Since a value is that which one acts to gain and/or keep, and the amount of possible action is limited by the duration of one's lifespan, it is a part of one's life that one invests in everything one values. The years, the months, days, or hours of thought, of interest, of action devoted to a value are the currency with which one pays for the enjoyment one receives from it." Ayn Rand Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology Reminds me of another quote from Simon and Garfunkel: “Time, time, time, see what’s become of me, as I looked around at my possibilities, I was so hard to please.” -Hazy Shade of Winter
