Well today seems to have gone on forever, but now itβs time for bed, so Iβll leave you with my photo of this building in Wapping. Itβs almost opposite The Prospect of Whitby pub which is one of the most atmospheric London streets at night. To the left of it was a pumping station that many years ago used to lift Tower Bridge up and down to let ships through. Now though, the beautiful building is crumbling and will soon be beyond repair. Not that thatβs what the developers want of course. Anyway, time for you to stop scrolling now, once youβve pressed like and retweet on my post of course. Nighty night.
Grand series and this one was startlingly good!

"The writing and plotting is tight and insightful throughout, with the storytelling never taking a back seat at the expense of the factual element of the book."

βThe most dangerous voices are the ones that no one else can hearβ¦β
Well THAT tagline should have warned me, right?
@michaelJmalone1βs The Cutting is my favourite Annie Jackson book so far β a haunting, gothic mystery thriller steeped in the occult, Scottish history, ghosts, isolation, trauma and things that really should stay in the bloody shadows.
Itβs eerie, unsettling and deliciously creepy, with that constant sense that something is justβ¦ wrong.
And there is ONE character in this book who will absolutely live rent-free in my nightmares. NO THANK YOU. π³
No spoilers, but that ENDING?!
MICHAEL. WTAF?! YOU CANNOT DO THAT TO ME.
