RT @CSayf23: Very shaky second-down play calls by Michigan OC Jason Beck. With a freshman QB, the Wolverines have faced 3rd and 17 after a…

So far Jason Beck has refused to go with what worked against Penn State, and is back to the same plays that have plagued this offense all season.

Not sure I’ve seen an opponent not have the jet stuff completely sniffed out.

I really really really really really hate Jason Beck's offense. I hate it so much. I HATE the east/west running scheme.

If you’re calling a run there on 3rd and long it better be enough to get you into field goal range. A run on 3rd and 10 followed by a punt given the way that drive was going is unforgivable.

Just to be clear, Michigan only scored AT ALL because of 2 interceptions. Otherwise, they’d have been shut out.

After watching the film of Ohio State vs Texas, and taking a peek at Georgia, Notre Dame and Bama… Oklahoma actually has THE best defense in America. Nobody else is that big, fast and physical on tape. Those guys are missiles.
Michigan played bad against Western Michigan. Then, they played one of the best defenses in America. They’ll be alright.

Jim Harbaugh says the best leaders on his team make the example of what to do ridiculously simple “We have so many leaders on our team. Probably the most I can ever think of on any team I’ve ever been on, in terms of being a player or a coach. The amount of example setters, the amount of tone setters that we have.” “Guys that lead on and off the field. They just give you the perfect example of what to do. You want to know what to do, how to do it, when to do it. Guys that put their entire, not just their heart, their heart and soul into the way they approach this game. Tremendous versions of themselves.” “It just makes it so easy for the rest of us, really. Watch them. Study them. Emulate them. See if you can go make them proud of you. That standard that they set is incredible.”

In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy. She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid. The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%. She handed out the checks herself. In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college. When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months. You've probably heard that part. Here's the part you haven't: The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top. Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave. She built her county an entire hospital. She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it. In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees. Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal. In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release. And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it. She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway. She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did. Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸

I'm not sure there's a bigger self-inflicted casualty of golf's civil war than Jon Rahm. Hurt reputation by taking $ he said he didn't need, torched years of major prime, put Ryder Cup eligibility in jeopardy over a silly fight, after turning down PGA Tour's Koepka exemption might not have a place to play next year

Because he was drafted with the 57th overall pick, Logan Jones will receive a lifetime supply of ketchup from The Kraft Heinz Company. Jones didn't know the incentive of his draft slot until informed on a zoom minutes after being selected. "I love it! I'll take as much as I can get ... Let’s go ketchup!"

A calque is a compound word or phrase that is borrowed from another language by a word-for-word translation. ‘Beer garden’ is considered a calque because it comes from the German ‘Biergarten.’ 🧵⬇️

I keep watching this Trey McKenney sequence from last night. The defensive stop on one end, the DAGGER three on the other. The freshman, in that moment, to make those plays back-to-back. 15 seconds of basketball that will be remembered FOREVER in Ann Arbor.
