1. I'm confused @RichardMarlesMP 🤔 You state that "🇨🇳 has engaged in the biggest conventional military build-up since the end of the Second World War" Yet 🇨🇳 is not even in the top 20 of per capita defence expenditure Unlike 🇦🇺 Which is 8th in the 🌎

Maybe some of you knew about those but it's the first time I've come across them and it blew my mind. So we're on a beach in the Philippines and we kept seeing these egg-like green balls in the seagrass. At first I thought they were plastic because they looked kind of like plastic toy capsules. But there were so many of them all over the beach that either some kid had lost the biggest toy collection in history, or something else was going on. So I checked and turns out they're called "Sailor's Eyeballs" (Valonia ventricosa) and each one is a single-celled organism, one of the largest on earth. Yup, that's one cell: the "plastic" shell is its cell wall, and everything inside is made of nuclei and cell sap. I never knew cells could get that big, I always assumed - wrongly, it turns out - that all cells were microscopic. You learn everyday!

Bull's-eye! Sony Thang.
They tell you to be afraid of these countries. And I want to ask you, seriously, to sit with this: Name the last country Iran invaded. Name the last country Cuba destabilized through a coup. Name the last population North Korea bombed into the Stone Age. Name the last foreign president China abducted in a military raid. Now do the same exercise for the country that told you to be afraid. The fear is a product. It is manufactured, distributed, and renewed on a regular cycle because fear justifies the budget. And the budget justifies the bases. And the bases justify the fear. You are not afraid because these countries are "dangerous." You are afraid because someone, very powerful, very expensive, needs you to be. Follow the money. Follow the bases. Follow the bombs. And then ask yourself one more time: Who, in this picture, should actually be afraid of whom?

The execrable Australian MSM (including the @ABC) should learn something from this.

In collegial terms 'they are having a go at us'. Of course she has experience in armaments. Her former employer blew up an aboriginal cultural site.
Pat Conroy appoints former Rio Tinto CEO as National Armaments Manager. Highlights her ability to “change culture”.😳 Union busting, individual contracts, destroying communities, fly in/fly out, opposing collective bargaining, targeting union delegates. This culture? WTF?

I just finished Hudson's Killing the Host, after reading Mises' Human Action, Hayek's The Road to Serfdom, and Rothbard's Man, Economy, and State last year. Hudson's book is better than all three combined. Austrian economics is a thousand-page handjob for landlords.

Students actually *want* to be challenged and to read good and interesting things? It's actually *universities* letting them down with cost-cutting, fluff and "meet them where they are" nonsense? I'm shocked, I say! Shocked!

Do think Mossad, who had already hacked her phone, tipped off ASIO?
Just checked to see if our national broadcaster @abcnews has reported on the fact that one of Australia’s most prominent journalists (and perhaps the most famous Jewish Australian journo) had her personal gmail account hacked by the IRGC, after they took control of a former Trump official’s X account. 🦗 To give them the benefit of the doubt, it’s news that broke today, but it first broke over 5 hours ago. You’d think they’d be able to muster a short mention of it on their site, but no…

“How is consciousness possible? Human brains are basically like termite colonies—which are not conscious. A termite colony is made of maybe even a million termites—mindless little bugs [...] and not a single one of them knows anything about the larger project that they’re about. Well, your brain is really like a termite colony in that way. It’s composed of several [...] billion little neurons and each one of them is not even as smart as a termite, and yet their action produces Gaudi[’s basilica]. How do you get a Gaudi-type consciousness out of a brain which is like a termite colony?” —Daniel Dennett on the philosophy of consciousness

#Labor called a Royal Commission into Robodebt. Then built an aged care algorithm no human is allowed to override. The Ombudsman says a reasonable person would lack confidence it’s fair or consistent. Lesson learned? Apparently not. #auspol Copying #LNP assinine stupidity.
The Govt's new aged care algorithm has been assessed as neither fair nor consistent. The Govt must listen to experts and ensure they don't pursue another robodebt-style automation designed to cut costs at the expense of desperately-needed support #auspol
