Julius Malema wants the ANC to fire Cyril Ramaphosa for poor election results, but he himself doesn't want the EFF to fire him for the same reason.

The @MYANC @MbalulaFikile speech and the entire press briefing with First Deputy Secretary General @nomvulamoko_ and NET Coordinator @sompisi_g were outstanding. They told the truth and gave a clear reflection on the LGE results. What is needed now is for them to implement what they promised so the organisation can become the biggest once more. – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

The US accepted Afrikaner refugee families, booked their flights, then cancelled everything at the last minute. Families sold everything. Now they are stranded with nothing. No appeal. Whole families blacklisted for life. Rogue USCIS employees are actively blocking Afrikaners while the same organisations fight a court battle to reinstate non-white refugees. Hundreds of families have now asked for the entire program to be investigated for sabotage. youtu.be/IhWRhhCUngg?si=CXIh…

I was agreeing with Malema when he said MKP, EFF, ANC & SACP must unite. But then he lost me when he said the ANC should accede to MKP’s absurd demand to get rid of Ramaphosa. That’s absolute nonsense. #EFFPresser

Dear Godrich. You are foolish and stupid. And know nothing about journalism or the responsibilities of a journalist. It is also not up to a politician to decide angle and timing. The right time and space to ask a question is when the person is right in front of you. A good journalist has no obligation to stick to the theme of YOUR occasion. He must ask what his audience deems to be in the public interest. "Sense of occasion?" Which journalism module taught you that? Get your head out of your leader's backside.
Dear Redi, there is a better way to ask a question to achieve what you want. Time and space and angle. That was amertuerish and he was pushing a narrative......he is embedded or trying to be famous as if he is brave. That was foolish and stupid. He could have done better from an objective angle with appreciation of sense of occassion. He will forever remain to be known for such stupidity.

They weaken the ANC by walking away and forming splinter parties, yet they continue to place the blame for the country’s problems squarely on the ANC. Now that the results are in, the same voices are calling for “black parties” to unite. It raises a straightforward question: how can they demand unity with the very organisation they have spent years criticising and deliberately weakening by splitting off? You cannot keep fragmenting a movement and then expect it to remain strong enough to serve as the foundation of the unity you are suddenly calling for. – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

Julius Malema says It’s an opportune moment for MK Party, EFF, SACP, ANC to come together and reject the enemy forces. “If MK puts a demand that Ramaphosa must go, the ANC must agree.” #EFFPresser #LGE2026 #Elections2026

The 2026 local government election results suggest the DA is well positioned to expand its influence by 2029, largely because the Black vote continues to fragment across numerous breakaway parties. With the ANC’s support sharply reduced and new or smaller parties (MK, ActionSA, EFF and others) drawing significant shares, the opposition remains divided. This pattern of multiple leaders and competing formations splitting what was once a more consolidated base is making it easier for the DA to lead in key metros and grow its overall share. Unless greater unity emerges among these parties, the 2029 national election could see the DA as the dominant force in government. – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

The IEC’s mixed ward-and-PR seat allocation system raises legitimate concerns. A party that invests heavily in ground campaigns and wins multiple wards can still end up with fewer (or even zero) PR seats, because those ward wins are subtracted from its overall proportional entitlement. PR seats exist mainly to top up parties so that total representation roughly matches combined vote share—not as an extra reward for local success. While this is intentional under the Municipal Structures Act, the outcome often feels counter-intuitive and can appear to undervalue concentrated local support. The mechanics of this compensatory system deserve clearer public explanation and open discussion so voters fully understand how their votes translate into council seats. – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

Something must change within the ANC. Every election, the organisation loses votes, and it cannot afford to take these results lightly. While many people still love and support the ANC, it appears the leadership is not listening to the cries of the people. A drastic change is urgently needed. – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

With KZN’s local government elections heavily favouring the MK Party, the Gupta family is probably already planning their return to South Africa, based in KZN, of course. Maybe under new identities just to be safe. 🤣🤣🙌 – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa

Prevent the further damage! – at Phuthaditjhaba, South Africa
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

This is a very superficial analysis. There are millions of ANC volunteers who openly and actively endorse the movement without belonging to leadership structures or personally benefiting (the benefit you speak of because everyone benefited from the ANC in one way or another) from it. You are mistaking the people most visible to you for the entire support base, then reducing political conviction to patronage. People support the ANC because of its values, policies, history and roots in their communities, even while recognising its failures. Your timeline is not a scientific sample.
Most of the people I’ve seen loudly and actively endorsing the ANC have been the direct beneficiaries who are in some sort of leadership structure within the organisation. South Africans are unfortunately beyond tired of the empty promises and consistent mismanagement.
