Please retweet to help Dorothy find a home, currently in #ESSEX #UK Heartbreaking 💔💔💔 Saved from being killed in a British Council pound, by a small, home run rescue. 22 Oct 2026 'Yesterday gorgeous Dorothy joined us, another unclaimed stray from the pound - she is a very lucky girl as her pound puller put her into boarding to keep her alive after there was no rescue offers after the statutory 7 days. This is not normal, after 7 days if a dog isn’t reclaimed it can be euthanised. The sad reality is so many dogs loose their lives due to irresponsible owners discarding them like rubbish. We need to do better. We didn’t have space, I watched her and I couldn’t let her die so here she is 🥰 I know her chances of finding a home are slim as people just don’t want big dogs these days, but for now, she has made friends, settled on the sofa and enjoyed her McDonald’s breakfast, and I adore her big soppy nature. She has had a really bad time recently and I am so glad we were able to help her feel safe again 😘 Welcome to the pack Dorothy - we got you sweetheart 👌 '' We're a non kill rescue that will take any animal in need of rescue - based in Essex in the UK.
