Here is another post to establish context for those who are new to the situation in Ethiopia and have missed telling events in the war on the Amhara ethnic group and the Amhara Genocide. I am sharing a series of posts that I hope will shed light on what has been happening to ethnic Amhara over the last 4 years since I began to cover the initial northern war and episodes of mass murder and ethnic cleansing in the Oromia region against ethnic Amhara. @Chriseldalewis @RealCandaceO @dom_lucre @jimmy_dore @TheAfricaReport @LemkinInstitute @AfricanHub_ @african_stream @CollinRugg @RepJames @RepJamesComer @SFRCdems @SABCNews @SABCNews_Radio @xhnews @francescaronch @TasetiReloaded2 Survivors Of Benishangul-Gumuz Attack Recount Stories Of Escape And Loss CHAGNI, ETHIOPIA - DECEMBER 31, 2020: Enkayehush Negede, 65 fled the Benishangul-Gumuz region and is now staying in a displaced persons camp on December 31, 2020 in Chagni, Ethiopia. Ethnic violence in Benishangul-Gumuz, particularly against members of the Amhara ethnicity has been escalating in recent months, including a deadly attack on December 23 in the Metekel Zone that left more than 207 people dead. Enkayehush recounts: I was displaced from Gilgel Beles in the Benishangul-Gumuz region. I was living there for a long period of time and I am indigenous to Gilgel Beles. When the Gumuz came they took 35 cattle and destroyed everything we had. I was left with nothing there and they forced us to the Amhara region. It was horrific and terrifying to see people slaughtered by knife there and killed and their flesh taken and eaten by the Gumuz. I saw there when human flesh was eaten by Gumuz people, those Gumuz gunman claiming that Christian meat is sweet and they even drink alcohol while claiming that they're eating this Christian meat and say that they are very satisfied and feel happy. I saw them and I heard them saying this. So we came here with nothing even in this displaced peoples camp there is no humanitarian aid, everything is not good here. We didn't even have any a sleeping mattress so why did the government collect us here? We should have been served humanitarian aid. We need that part. You see I am elderly and I am weak because we don't have humanitarian aid here. Even people here have gotten sick and one individual has died because of the shortage of humanitarian aid. Dying by gun bullet is a relief rather then they kill us by using a knife. That is horrifying and barbaric. They have even slaughtered pregnant woman and eaten their bodies. My husband is getting sicker and as he's found in hospital right now and its is because of the horrible tragedy we experienced in Benishangul-Gumuz". (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images)

To ignore and write off their suffering in the name of geopolitical gain is actually revealing your complicity in the original crimes. You know who you are….. MAI KADRA, ETHIOPIA - MARCH 05, 2021: Misganaw Gebeyehu, 26, of Mai Kadra, sits for a photo as he joins fellow survivors of the November 2020 attacks at Mai Kadra to give accounts to a journalist at Abune Aregawi Church on March 5, 2021. Misganaw shows head wounds he received during the attacks. According to interviews conducted in recent days with several dozen victims, witnesses and local officials, around 1,300 (now 1600) ethnic Amharas were killed during a series of attacks by the Samri, a TPLF (Tigray People’s Liberation Front) Youth Group, TPLF militia and local Tigrayan police, from November 6 to November 10, 2020. Over the course of four days, Samri youth from several towns in Tigray, in addition to TPLF militia and local police, killed farm workers on farms owned by TPLF-affiliated farmer/investors before moving onto Mai Kadra itself, conducting door-to-door searches for ethnic Amharas. Most victims were slashed or hacked; many victims who survived the initial attacks with bladed weapons were shot to death. The violence occurred during a wider conflict between the Ethiopian government and the TPLF that ignited on November 4, 2020, when forces aligned with the TPLF attacked multiple Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) bases including the Northern Command headquarters in Mekelle, the capital city of the Tigray region. On this day in 1893, silent superstar Lillian Gish was born in Springfield, Ohio. I'd wondered if the silents had scripts with dialogue to memorize or if they just gave a general sense of what to say. I wrote to Lillian Gish - pushing 95 - and received this remarkable reply.

I, for one, think this would be fucking hilarious. Very fitting for Twitter to go the same way ‘90s rock did: beginning as a haven for outspoken weirdos, and ending with Fred Durst laughing all the way to the bank

Chris Cillizza has been let go by CNN. This is an incredibly tough setback for fans of mediocre white men who are utterly terrible at their jobs.

WHY DON'T THEY DO SOMETHING? A simple search on Congressional Record shows 61 bills and resolutions Dems introduced regarding abortion during 2021-2022. This DOESN'T INCLUDE committee proceedings or 100+ GOP bills Dems BLOCKED. YOU DO SOMETHING: READ AND PAY ATTENTION.

If a fetus is really alive and a human being, I see no problem with removing it at any point of the pregnancy and allowing it to fend for itself the way republicans leave every child to do so. I thought these people were against entitlements.
