India feels like a total scam once you return from Japan.
Two countries with economies around the $4 trillion mark.
But the difference in what an average person experiences every single day is insane.
Japan:
Clean air.
Smooth roads.
Walkable footpaths.
Zebra crossings people actually respect.
World-class railways.
Clean public spaces.
Reliable basic infrastructure.
India:
AQI crisis.
Broken roads.
Missing footpaths.
Chaotic traffic.
Dirty public spaces.
Corruption at every level.
And the list just keeps going.
Forget competing with Japan.
Can we first ask why Indians pay taxes but still struggle for basic infrastructure?

Mumbai housing society mistakes itself for the Censor Board, policing Uorfi Javed’s guests and shoots inside her own home. Apparently, privacy ends where the society secretary’s dictatorship begins !
Uorfi Javed alleges her Mumbai housing society is blocking guests carrying cameras, restricting content shoots and checking visitors’ bags before entry.
Perhaps, the society has mistaken a residential building for an airport security checkpoint with a side business in moral policing.

Indians are only Indian citizens because they are trapped, not by choice.
For my last Indian passport, I ended up going to a top @DelhiPolice lowlife to report. He told me they were doing me a favor and that I had to pay up. I did get it without throwing crumbs at them, but that day I decided I needed to get out of the hellhole.

Look at these garbage collectors, then look at the leaking, overflowing garbage trucks on our streets in India.
A vehicle meant to collect filth shouldn’t leave a trail of it. Even basic sanitation is treated like a luxury.

I’ve lived in Norway for years, and watching children here sometimes breaks my heart when I think about childhood in India. 🇮🇳🇳🇴
🇳🇴 A Norwegian child plays in the mud, climbs mountains, explores forests, fights with friends and learns to solve their own conflicts. Rain or snow, they play outside. Nobody rushes them to prove how smart they are. They are allowed to be children.
🇮🇳 Then I look at India. The same 3-year-old is sitting in a classroom, learning ABCD, counting 1 to 100 and solving maths problems, already under pressure to stay ahead of others.
Sometimes, I feel we are almost bullying our own children, both at home and in schools, all in the name of a better future.
One child is learning how to live. The other is learning how to perform.
They may grow up with degrees, big salaries and successful careers, but what if they spend their lives feeling they are never good enough?
The maths can wait. Childhood cannot come back.
Indian parents, are we raising children for their future, or sacrificing their childhood to feel secure about our own?
