▪️Year-on-year total spend dropped -1% to $4.8B for the month
▪️Video game content spending declined -2% to $4.1B
▪️Hardware spend increased YoY by +12%
▪️Marvel's Wolverine was the best selling game of September, debuting as the 11th best-selling game of the year
▪️Marvel’s Wolverine generated the highest launch month sales revenue for a Sony published title since Helldivers II in February 2024
▪️PS5 was the best-selling console in both units and revenue, followed by Switch 2
▪️PS5 consoles sold increased +22% vs Sept 2025, revenue grew +43%
▪️Sony’s dollar share of the video game hardware market reached its highest point in a month since May 2025
▪️Xbox unit sales fell -27% vs Sept 2025, revenue decreased -2%
▪️Xbox console sales fell to an all-time September low (previous record low was a year ago)
▪️Switch 2 unit sales dropped -14% YoY, revenue decreased -12%
▪️NBA 2K27 surpassed Resident Evil: Requiem to become the best-selling game of 2026 YTD
▪️Total August 2026 video game hardware unit sales fell -15% vs a year ago to 559K units, the lowest total for an August month since 2013 (423K units)
▪️Spending on new physical software increased +5% YTD due to a 631% increase in spend on Switch 2 Game Key Cards, offsetting -3% drop across all other new physical media
▪️Accessories spending jumped +10% YoY
▪️Limited Edition Wolverine DualSense was September’s best-selling accessory in both units and dollars

To no one’s surprise, GTA 6 will be eligible for The Game Awards 2026.
This should be a historic and easy sweep. Hopefully we see Sam Houser attending the event on December 10th.

Going strong. The Iranian attacks on tankers are actually not having too much of a negative effect on what is coming out of the region. Crude oil exports are highest since February, but now the priority is shifting towards LNG and refined products.

I got my account back. I want to thank everyone who reached out to me offering their assistance, advice and words of encouragement. It genuinely meant a lot.
It would be foolish of me not to acknowledge that this was dealt with as quickly as possible because of the position I'm in. Not many people have that reach, and I am fully aware of that.
This is a problem that has been brewing for a long time now at PlayStation. No one deserves to get their account stolen from them and lose access to all of their games, DLC, save data, trophies etc. It's not right.
This needs to change.

It's fascinating how people had NO TROUBLE believing the numbers when they were A LOT LOWER. Now all of sudden, everything is a lie when even publicly-accessible satellite imagery show FAR MORE tanker loadings and STS transfers that result in GREATER EXPORTS.

Flattering but false. We are early pioneers in our methodology. Our global government business is sub-10% of our revenue and that’s how we wish to keep it. The private sector is way more efficient.
