#FoodSafety starts long before food reaches consumers.
On #WorldFoodSafetyDay, we feature this research from #Bangaldesh which examines disease management in tilapia farming. While antibiotic use was relatively low, many farmers lacked access to veterinary advice, basic biosecurity measures, and awareness of #AMR risks.
The findings point to the need for better farmer training, veterinary services, diagnostics, and preventive health approaches to support safer and more sustainable aquaculture.
