Here is a simple bar graph of the approximate annual figures cited. UK arrests for online communications offences run about an order of magnitude higher than Russian criminal convictions for public speech or extremism. Definitions and outcomes differ, but the volume gap is stark.

In an 11–6 ruling, the Fifth Circuit held that illegal aliens arrested by ICE can be detained WITHOUT BOND throughout their removal proceedings.
ARREST. DETAIN. DEPORT. REPEAT.
BREAKING: The 5th Circuit has ruled that ICE detainees with pending immigration proceedings have no constitutional right to a bond hearing, regardless of the length of their detention.
The en banc ruling appears to be 10-7.
