On one hand, it’s clear decision-makers here blame players for issues NOT scheme. This can come across as lack of accountability.
On other hand, maybe it never was scheme in the 1st place and the success was player-driven so it’s more honest reality than lack of accountability.

Penalties have been a thing since 2023, it’s not new.
A few Texans numbers since 2023 via @SumerSports & RBSDM:
- 5th worst in total penalties & 4th worst in penalty yards lost.
- 31st in Go-For-It when you should situations.
- 28th in Offensive Success Rate.
- 31st in Rushing Success Rate.
- One of the more predictable offenses and defenses in terms of tendencies & disguises.
There are far worse rosters with at least 1-2 wins across the NFL for Houston.

Just saw early part of #Giants practice. I expect LB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder), CB Greg Newsome (concussion) & TE Theo Johnson (neck) to be out vs Texans
Looks like they should have both tackles Andrew Thomas & Jermaine Eluemunor, safety Jevón Holland and corner Paulson Adebo
Will have official player statuses out this afternoon. I’d expect Giants LB corps to be Micah McFadden & Arvell Reese

DeMeco Ryans was asked whether the slippery field conditions in London impacted the Texans pass rush, but he made a point to credit the Jaguars game plan.
“I thought Trevor did a good job of getting the ball out quick. They had a really good game plan for our guys.”
Ryans acknowledged the slippery surface made it difficult for both teams to get their footing and rush downhill, but emphasized Jacksonville’s execution rather than leaning on the playing surface.
