Elon warns debt is drying up for AI-dependent data-centre builders. That's not the same as all AI funding disappearing.
AI project-finance debt reached $106bn this year vs $37bn in 2025 (Goldman/Axios). AI also took 64% of Q3's $159bn global VC funding.
Those figures predate his recent warning, and equity isn't debt. My read: financing is getting more selective. For chips, watch weaker buyers' orders and whether hyperscaler spending holds up.

I've been thinking about the maths on ownership vs leasing with the rising fuel prices ⛽️
Here is my cost breakdown personally to upgrade to a Tesla Model 3 from 2 older cars.
That's right we dropped from 2 cars to 1
Deposit £2,200 up front
Lease £248 p/m
Charging - £10 p/m (max)
Tesla premium connectivity - £10 p/m (optional)
Insurance £40p/m
Home charger - £50 p/m this lease - will be zero effectively after this lease is up.
Bus fare (1x per week to office) - £25 p/m
So total inc deposit = £475 approx all in
We used to run 2x ICE vehicles owned (rough averages)
Car 1 - main family car.
71 plate Sokda
Fuel = £100 per month
Mot/ Service/ Repairs = £50 p/m (£600 p.a)
Rough Depreciation = £50 p/m (£600 p.a)
Tax = £20 per month
Insurance = £25 per month.
Rough cost £245
Car 2 - runaround
63 plate Corsa (horrible car to drive)
Fuel = £50 per month
Mot/ Service / Repairs = £50 p/m (£600 p.a)
Depreciation = £0 (negligible as older car)
Tax = £20 per month
Insurance = £25 per month.
Rough cost £145
All in about £390 pcm.
So our outlay is roughly the same and the car equity was banked from both cars also just over £11k..
This is just the numbers for us as a family but wanted to give some insight to my thought process.
Would you make the same trade if you could manage on 1 car?

BLACK MONDAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Who's ready for the BRIGHTEST GREEN market ever tomorrow??

The clocks go back an hour in the UK later tonight, but it's worth reminding people that the clocks will not be put back in the US for another week.
Therefore if you are based in the UK, the US markets will open one hour earlier than usual at 1.30PM local time, and close one hour earlier at 8PM for the next week, before going back to normal the week after.
This is something that catches me out nearly every time, so I'm posting this as a reminder to myself as much as anything. 🙂

Almost 1 month since collecting the Tesla and I can safely say its the best car I have ever driven...
The software is absolutely top notch and so intuitive. I honestly will feel like I'm back in the stone ages driving anything else now 😅
It's probably costing £5-10 per month to charge on average. And the only time I had range anxiety was my initial pick up from 28% charge back home with 11% left. This was primarily just down to it being my first journey in the car.
Anyone else considering getting a Tesla or already own one?

Morning all ☕️ 😊
Taking my eldest daughter to one of her class mates parties today.
Got here a bit too early... 😅😅😅
No problem with a Tesla, we can just chill 😎 in the car and put some shows on for my daughter!
One of the many underrated perks!

I just made the biggest decision of my professional life.
Today, my Director officially opened up requests for Voluntary Redundancy ahead of a Q1 restructure.
After 9 years in tech/ banking, I’ve formally registered my interest for voluntary redundancy today…
It’s a strange, surreal feeling. The corporate 9 to 5 gave me a great career, paid the bills, and funded the early days of my business. But wearing the corporate mask while building a startup in the background has felt heavy for a while now.
if they accept, I’ll be leaving with a really good package + 2 months PILON and vested shares. I might not get an offer like this for a good few years so I jumped at it..
More updates to follow on my future plans but whilst I am nervous, I am really excited about the entrepreneurial path I am about to embark on!
Wish me luck!

Almost all of the semi’s that dumped last week have big gaps above to fill.
I reckon we run it back up pretty turbo. Q4 let’s go

It's a huge week of Q3 earnings results this week, and one that I'm really looking forward to.
For me personally, I have $SPCX reporting after the close on Tuesday, and then $META reporting after the close on Wednesday.
However there are so many other results that I and many other investors will be looking out for.
$TSLA is the standout one. They report after the closing bell on Wednesday, along with $IBM, $LRCX and $TXN.
We also have $NFLX on Tuesday, $LMT, $BE, $WDC and $NOK on Thursday, and $AXP on Friday.
So it will be good to get our teeth into some company results rather than focusing on rising yields, higher oil prices and the war with Iran, which are weighing heavily on the markets at the moment.

🚨 MY BIDS ARE SET. I’M NOT CHASING.
I’ve got cash ready and a few levels I’m watching.
Let the panic sellers sell. I don’t need to catch the bottom. I need a plan.
Here’s where I’m looking 👇
