Millions of American families have seen the devastating toll of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Under President Trump, HHS is shifting the national strategy toward prevention, earlier detection, and faster development of better diagnostics and treatments. We are advancing gold-standard science, reducing risk where we can, improving care, and giving patients and families stronger support at every stage of the disease.
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: @SecKennedy announces 2026 update for the National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias. 4 Commitments ⬇️ 1️⃣ Reduce dementia risk by confronting long-term risk factors 2️⃣ Accelerate discovery through investment in robust science 3️⃣ Improve care for patients to get clear answers and care they can afford 4️⃣ Strengthen services for families caring for loved ones to help preserve independence

I swear SOMETHING broke in society after 2020 and nobody wants to talk about it. And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or COVID. I mean the FEELING of life. Everything reopened. We went back to work. Restaurants filled up. Events came back. But somehow life still feels… different. Years disappear faster. People feel more disconnected. Everything feels more expensive, stressful & rushed. And somehow we’re all constantly exhausted. I can’t even explain exactly what we lost. I just know life before 2020 felt more ALIVE. Tell me I’m not the only one who feels this.

.@alzassociation Chief Public Policy Officer @RobertEgge shares with @pfcd that 90% of Americans support Medicare coverage for routine Alzheimer’s blood tests. The bipartisan #ASAPAct would help make this a reality. Add your voice: bit.ly/442ieIq
As many as half of the over 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's are not diagnosed. That's millions of people who could benefit from early detection – and millions more as these tests are showing promise to detect the disease even before symptoms present. Hear more from @ALZIMPACT's @RobertEgge: youtu.be/KupIpBYYNyw #Fight4Health #EndAlz #ASAPAct

By passing the bipartisan #ASAPAct, Congress can improve early Alzheimer’s detection and diagnosis. Join us in thanking @VernBuchanan for championing this important issue and for his unwavering support for those impacted by dementia.
When it comes to Alzheimer’s, time matters. My bipartisan ASAP Act would give seniors access to simple blood tests that catch this disease early, giving families more time, more options and more hope. Read my op-ed in @thehill. thehill.com/opinion/healthca…

Some have asked about this: Susan and I wanted our gift to give 25 million children a stronger start and to reach communities where it could make the greatest difference. We began with all eligible children born between 2016 and 2024 who signed up before auto-enrollment and lived in ZIP codes with median family income of $150,000 or less. We wanted families who took that first step to know they could count on our commitment. Next were military children living overseas who also signed up before auto-enrollment. They represented a very small share of our $6.25 billion gift, but we didn’t want to leave them out because their military addresses didn’t fit the usual ZIP-code income framework. Their parents are serving our country abroad, and we want these children included in the future we are investing in. When all American children were auto-enrolled at the beginning of this month, we immediately began funding the accounts of all children born 2016 to 2024 in eligible ZIP codes, beginning in ZIP codes with lowest median family income and moving progressively to higher median family income, up to 25 million accounts in total. We chose this approach with care and a simple hope: that these investments will open doors and help millions of children build the futures they dream of. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

People see the greatest benefit from Alzheimer’s treatments when they begin them at the initial onset of mild cognitive impairment, making early detection essential. Urge Congress to support the bipartisan #ASAPAct to cover routine Alzheimer’s blood tests. bit.ly/442ieIq
