Just watched the final Dune trailer: From Chani's role in the conspirator plot to the sheer amount of featuring the Jihad, I'm extremely out on Denis' vision for adaptation of 'Messiah'. Leaning way too much into being a blockbuster rather than the somber note 'Messiah' is.

Just rewatched Dune and MAN, I forgot how much of a drag Chani is. Just scene after scene of pouting and scowling while Paul unites her people and heroically leads them to victory over the outworlders that have plagued them for centuries. Truly the wettest of blankets.
