The latest MrBeast video has him building an entire village - housing, a school, well and plumbing system, power grid, play areas, farm, marketplace, and community center.
And the entire time he's talking about how it's because the kids in the village used to be stuck in child labor for cacao, so that we can eat chocolate. He's paying for five years of school meals for the kids, because free meals makes kids more likely to attend school rather than working.
He actually talks about child labor in chocolate *all the time* and his company Feastables is genuinely much more ethical than the big chocolate companies, pays living wages to farmers and is part of a traceable/open supply chain project.
Regardless of whether you like his content, the guy is doing incredible things across the world and using his money to try to make a difference. I find it pretty remarkable, especially when compared with the incredibly shallow stuff that most other rich influencers spend their money on.

Going out to buy Feastables now
While wer praising him & giving him publicity for the good gesture,
Please don't forget to also publicize the failures of the govts of these nations those villages are situated in..
African leaders are some of the most useless entities in existence..they could x 10 of what Mr beast is doing but never will.
I’m not saying helping these kids is bad.
I’m asking what happens after the camera leaves.
You can build infrastructure with money. You can’t automatically change the institutions, incentives and culture that created the problem.
And there’s a bigger demographic question:
Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest fertility in the world while America is below replacement.
Improve conditions in high-growth populations while low-growth Western societies struggle to reproduce themselves, and you eventually create an immigration problem.
Have you not seen the news sir?
Mr Beast is selling chocolate. Someone must've pointed out that kids are being used on the cocoa plantations thus the Feastables brand could be negatively impacted.
Feastables makes the switch the non-child labour sourced cocoa.
Mr Beast builds a village in Africa which has several benefits across the board:
-Youtube/ad revenue
-Negative light on big chocolate
-Promotes Feastables
-Feel good story for Mr Beast.
Hundreds of projects like this have been initiated in the past with very little actual impact. That village will look like a disaster in 5-10 years. Kids will continue working on the cocoa plantations.
You can't change culture and civilization no matter how much money you throw at the problem.
Nice video and initiative, but very little will actually change.

His videos suck but I'll never hate him for genuine charity work
MrBeast Invests Nearly $10 Million in a Self-Sustaining Village in Ghana to Combat Child Labor
The initiative includes a school accommodating 300 students, a medical clinic, 10 residences for educators, a clean water system, and five years of complimentary meals for all students.
