His โ€œfree timeโ€. Glad he thinks thereโ€™s so little wrong that he has plenty of free time to indulge himself.
Andy Burnham agrees to appear on Gogglebox, in his free time, for charity The usual suspects are losing their tiny minds This country is so fucking weird. #Gogglebox

This pedestrian was wearing high-visibility clothing, but that did not stop these โ€˜professionalโ€™ drivers misbehaving. Not worthy of police reports, but I have always found the taxi licensing authorities receptive. ps โ€˜waitingโ€™ is picked out in high-vis too, also hard to miss.

John Stewart drops all pretence of being anything other than a hater of cycling. Claims of safety concerns were always an obvious nonsense trying to obscure his true motives.
The 'but cars' brigade will hate this in today's Times by the award-winning Janice Turner. She equates the clampdown on playing music loudly on public transport with cyclists running red lights. She is right. It's not just the danger but the entitlement that so annoys people.

These mini motorcades are dangerous, expensive and unnecessary. Theyโ€™re about status and the fragile egos of people who donโ€™t want to earn respect but demand it.

Her solution to riots in France is for antisocial teenagers to annoy us on the bus!
As Paris burns our prime minister has stopped people playing loud music on buses & trains.

If only someone had warned the Conservatives that this might happen! And the weird thing is that theyโ€™re now doubling down by: - telling us nothing can be done about it AND - giving us Brexit 2.0 by leaving the ECHR The Tories say theyโ€™ve changed, but theyโ€™ve learned nothing.
Munich @MUC airport right now. This is the queue to *leave* the country - ridiculous! Despite Germanyโ€™s promise in the Kensington Treaty for eGate access for Brits from August 2025. It was easier to get into the GDR!

The reason we canโ€™t go through the faster border route is because of the Brexit that is as negotiated when you were an MP - not me. And as a kicker, you were a minister too. Maybe you should have done a better job.
Itโ€™s actually in the bilateral ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Kensington Treaty, which was signed by the U.K. when you were an MP - not me. Maybe the LibDems should do their job of scrutinising the government a little more diligently?

Politicians voted in by everyone. For many decades. This is why the NHS has never worked and can never work.
You conflate the performance of the NHS (due to years of underinvestment) with the healthcare that the NHS would provide if it had appropriate investment France ยฃ1Trillion more & Germany ยฃ2.3T more over last 2 decades. Plus social care cuts NHS has been failed by politicians

In 1983, the @LabourParty led by Michael Foot suffered a crushing defeat in the general election with 28% of the vote. Today @ElectCalculus suggests that Labour is on 28% of the vote and set to win a majority of 56 seats! Can @andyburnham really go the country on a system allowing a party with 28% of the vote to win a majority?
Our latest MRP poll with @PLMRLtd predicts that if there were a general election now, #Labour would win 353 seats, a majority of 56. #Conservatives would be the official opposition on 90 seats and #Reform would be third on 81 seats. Full figures โคต๏ธ electoralcalculus.co.uk/blogโ€ฆ

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights back to Eastbourne District General Hospital. I am campaigning for a local hospital shuttle bus though - fancy signing my petition?

Sarah canโ€™t understand that motorists kill pedestrians daily despite her culture wars against cyclists. Similarly violence against women is conducted by men daily who identify as men despite her Trumpian culture wars against trans women.
Am realising that the most common skill exercised in modern politics is one I have never mastered, namely an ability to compartmentalise without apparent embarrassment eg โ€˜tackling VAWG is our top priorityโ€™ but also โ€˜fully intact males should access womenโ€™s spacesโ€™.

52% of those who voted in Eastbourne at the last election democratically elected a brown MP with Nigerian heritage. If you have an issue with that, please take that up with the 23,742 people who voted for me.
Replying to @JoshBabarinde
Grandpa? Great Grandpa?? If you could address my question about when the electorate voted to create a multiculture that would be appreciated. My understanding is that they have repeatedly rejected Commonwealth immigration flows, and that Multiculturalism was imposed on them.

The parallels with diehard Socialists are striking. Yes itโ€™s been a disaster and impossible to make work but we must try harder and not do something that does actually work!

I welcome the Prime Ministerโ€™s admission that the Brexit deal is a disaster for our economy, but the real test is: will he drop Labour's red lines that stop us fixing it? Today he says no โ€“ so we have more work to do!

The fact that it didnโ€™t work and keeps making us poorer, exactly as experts predicted, is embarrassing for the Brexiters.
Let me clear a second point up about Brexit: Brexit wasn't a silver bullet. It was never expected that it would immunise us from failure, or save us the difficult task of having to actually govern ourselves effectively. Too many people seem to confuse SINCE Brexit with BECAUSE of Brexit. They see difficulties since leaving as proof that Brexit hasn't worked. When it fact what they are seeing are straightforward domestic political failures. They get the impression that the Brexit vote was the end of the story, rather than the beginning of a new, exciting chapter. Brexit wasn't like a wind up toy car where you let it go and it speeds off. It wasn't, to use Air Force parlance, a "fire and forget" event. To think that Brexiteers promised that Brexit would mean everything was plain sailing from now to eternity is just silly. Brexit was about returning political power and accountability to where it belongs, Westminster (and eventually locally). It was about giving politicians we elect and who we can remove the ultimate say. It was about placing issues we had been unable to touch while inside the EU back into democratic contention. None of this meant we would be unable to falter or fail, as all countries do from time to time. It simply meant that our future is ours, and our failures are ours to own too. THIS was the point of Brexit. We can no longer blame the EU for all our failings. We have to look to ourselves, and to our politicians. Our democratic muscles have atrophied and weakened after decades in the EU. We are taking time to rebuild them. Too many people are frightened of our own sovereignty. They would prefer the comforting bosom of the EU. But that would be a major step backwards. Our future is ours, if only we can rediscover the courage and desire to govern ourselves.

Like all Brexiters Dave ignores the obvious fact that Brexit couldnโ€™t possibly have been done any better. It could have been done a lot worse.
Gina Miller (like all Remainers) conveniently ignores the obvious here. Brexit could have been so much better if it had been negotiated and enacted better. Instead you had Theresa May completely stuff up the negotiations. Johnson put a sticking plaster on Mayโ€™s abortion of a deal, instead of standing his ground and letting it go to no deal which would have been a stronger point for negotiations on a better deal. Thousands of EU laws were left on the statute by people like Kemi Badenoch because they would not take on the pro EU UK Establishment. Yet despite all this, the UK consistently outperformed the likes of Germany, France and Italy on GDP. Also our trade with the EU increased. That ยฃ350 million extra for the NHS on the side of THAT bus actually happened too. Brexit did not fail but it simply could have been so much better.

It has been 8 years since these bikes came to London, plenty of time to adapt, provide more parking, repurpose car parking spaces for the huge uptake in London's best improvement in public transport, yet @CityWestminster, @paulswaddle, @VoteTimBarnes have done absolutely nothing.
