I’m nearly 64, and I have 3 grown children (all married), and 9 grandchildren.
My sons own their homes, and my daughter and her husband are making good progress towards buying a home in the next few years.
But my practice with regard to their lives is not what I experienced when I became an adult.
The passive, “you’re on your own” approach of my parent’s generation doesn’t make sense today.
Inter generational success requires an inter generational approach. A premodern philosophy needs to be recovered and adapted to the contemporary world.

Today’s pompous, futurist AI-cultists will, just like the last two millennia of Sadducees and pagans and renaissance men and ideologues, will claim that Christ is a particularly insightful instantiation of “The Good” or some such abstraction. However, they claim, it is “obviously” an anachronism for this or that reason.
Christianity is not part of the past, nor is it the defining characteristic of the future. He exists throughout eternity, outside of time, long before and after and beyond the tribulation of artificial intelligence.

Fitness biblically is about stewardship. You’re not your own. You were bought with a price and you have no right to treat someone else’s property like trash. It’s not about how you look or what you lift, it’s about how you care for what’s been entrusted to you. How you look can be a proxy, but many lean people treat their body like crap and many jacked people also abuse theirs… I did for years with steroids.

Most single guys don’t know this, but you can just borrow your married friend’s sons and make them hike a mountain, and all of you will walk away better men.
This was a fantastic read. There is lots of room for self reflection in this, so many things Anthony points out aren't necessarily the fault of parents, but rather the by product of apathy that a lot of young men (myself included) have in this modern age.
